FuelSpec®FuelSpec® Advantages…Fuel SavingsEmissions ReductionSafer & Cleaner OperationsReduced O&M Costs

Combustion is more complete … more energy is released from fuel … providing better fuel economy … less unburned carbon … reduction in emissions.Less net ash, particulate matter and unburned hydrocarbons, and reduced NOx, CO2 and SOx emissions.Less carbon deposited on combustion and exhaust surfaces of the equipment, resulting in safer and cleaner operations.Catalyst allows combustion equipment to tolerate higher wax and as phaltenic fuels and reduces engine maintenance costs, including:• Minimized combustion chamber deposits• Significantly longer oil life due to less carbon blow-by• Reduced wear on piston crowns, valve seats and other components• Reduced wear due to less galling of metallic components

What Makes FuelSpec® Unique• It contains metals, metal oxides, and metallic compounds so that gaps in the emission spectra of

the combined metals are minimized which promotes more complete combustion of the fossil fuels

• This fuel additive particles are of nano size and has such a low particle density and particle size that damage to equipment using the additive is virtually eliminated and any metallic ash released into the atmosphere is considerably below current EPA recommended standards. (Metal components of this catalyst are less than 1/5th to 1/10th the EPA recommended maximum limit)

•Unique mode of action: Organometalic compound of Iron and magnesium combined at a particular molecular weight to absorb energy during the combustion phase and releasing the same homogenously leading to burning of heavy hydrocarbons which needs more time and energy.

• Catalyst are homogenously spread in compressed air in diesel combustion chamber. Energy from hot air is transferred homogenously due to jump of electron in the outer orbit of catalyst during combustion and then return into original orbit a mili second level during combustion cycle itself.

•Magnesium acts as cleaning agent, non corrosive and non deposition element in catalyst where as Iron is true combustion element.

Comparison of FuelSpec® vs other fuel additives

FuelSpec®Oxygenates likeAlcohol / Ethers

Hybrids LikeFuel Detergents

Others likeOxyhydrogen,

Acetones

Miscibility in Fuel:very easy

Difficult phaseseparation can happen

ok Easily

Viscosity:Low due to molecular size particles

Very High medium high

Working mechanism:Real combustion catalyst work only on fuel towards more complete combustion by releasing the energy in exhaust phase

Fuel injector cleaning so results

limited till injector is dirty, no action of fuel

over all engine cleaningincluding injectors, no

actionon fuel

Injector cleaning &emission reduction

Kinds of Fuel to be treated: Virtually all hydrocarbon fuels

Mainly on heavy and dirty fuel

Results better on dirty fuel

Heavy hydrocarbonresults better

Flash point and Hazards:High flash point non hazardous

low flash, may be hazardous

Non hazardouslow flash may be

hazardous

Patents/ IPR: Many national, International and PCT

Commodity Commodity Commodity

Corrosion inhibition:Strong Inhibitor

Corrosive Corrosive at times None

FuelSpec® vs Octamar (Innospec) for ship engines

•FuelSpec® acts as combustion, cleaning cum corrosion inhibitoradditive as its Iron and Magnesium compound where as Octamar hasjust organometalic magnesium hence it’s a good corrosion inhibitorbut not a very good combustion catalyst.

•Fuel efficiency can go up by 9-10% on heavy fuel or marine diesel oilusing FuelSpec® but in case of Octamar it can be maximized upto 3 -4% only.

•5% reduction in Pmax in a ship engine using FuelSpec®

•10% reduction in engine exhaust gas temperature using FuelSpec®
