• Fulbright Commissions in 50 countries
• Number of grantees between 1946-2009 cca. 300,000
(105,000 U.S. citizens, 195,000 non-U.S.)
• Fulbright Commission in Hungary since 1992
• Annual number of grantees:
30-35 American citizens, 30-35 Hungarian citizens

• March - May Application period
• May - July Initial processing, screening, interviews
• October Selection, submission to Washington
• February Final decision by the Board in Washington
• March Notification of grantees
• June Orientation for the outgoing Hungarian grantees
• From August Program begins in the U.S.
