1st-2nd GradersZOOPER HEROESDid you know that a certain bird can fly at speeds of 200mph? Animals can be out of this world when it comes to their super adaptations. Some can leap 12 feet high with a single bound! Come to summer camp and discover these animals and their “incredible” super-powers. Each day, we will look at an unbelievable superhero, and then see if our Zoo animals can measure up to their spectacular abilities. SUMMER FULLDAY CAMPS3rd-4th GradersCHOOSE-YOUR-OWN-ADVENTURE:EXPEDITION NATURALISTCampers will get a chance to become Naturalists, as they choose their destiny through different expeditions. These expeditions will traverse through the world’s different biomes.Dates:May 30-June 3June 6-10June 13-17June 20-24

5th-6th GradersEXPLORING ENRICHMENTWhat do boomer balls, spices, and fish-sicles all have in common? They are different forms of animal enrichment! Enrichment provides stimulation to our Zoo animals keeping their minds and bodieshealthy. We will create some animal enrichment items and brain-storm some new enrichment ideas to present to the enrichment committee. Dates:May 30-June 3June 6-10June 13-17June 20-24

7th-8th GradersWORKING WITH WILDLIFEAnimal keepers, field researchers, animal trainers…the list goes on and on when it comes to jobs that work with wildlife. We’ll meet some people who work with wildlife, some of the critters they work with, and tour some behind-the-scenes areas. This is a hands-on class, so be prepared to get knee or elbow-deep in exploration of some of the jobs and tools of the trade that come with a wildlife-re-lated career! Participants will even write and record animal-related podcasts that might be selected to be on the Zoo’s website!Dates:June 6-10June 13-17June 20-24June 27-July 1

During this week-long adventure, campers will discover animal leaders of all kinds, from keystone species to alpha males and females! Then campers will meet some leaders in conservation here at the Cincinnati Zoo! HURRAY FOR DAD! From babysitters to breadwinners, the dads of many animal species take an active role in their families’ lives. We’ll learn more about theseimportant and often overlooked family members as we celebrate them on their special weekend.Dates: June 18: 10:00-11:30 am

FAMILY NIGHT HIKES:LAND LOVERSWonder how a Pallas’ cat can climb steep, rocky mountains or how afennec fox can survive in the hot, dry desert? We will discover someof the variety found in land loving critters who share our sandy, snowy, rocky, and grassy home. Dates: June 11, 25 or July 2: 6:30-8 pm

WATER WONDERSFrom tiny microorganisms to the largest mammals on earth, there sure is a lot of diversity when it comes to aquatic wildlife! We will sneak a peek at the inner water workings of our new hippo exhibit and explore what lives in, on, and under the water of Swan Lake and other aquatic Zooexhibits. We will learn all about wonderful water wildlife and the role it (and we) plays in helping to maintain healthy aquatic ecosystems!Dates: July 23, August 6 or 27: 6:30-8 pm

These family-oriented programs explore wildlife through animal demonstrations and hikes though the Zoo as well as crafts or games in a manner that is sure to be fun for all ages.
