The S tate M edical Exam iner determined Mark Koster'sleft hyoid bone and left superior horn of thyroid cartilage were fractured. On or around March 25,2014, during a voluntary, consensual interview at the Clay County Sheriffs Office in Orange Park,Florida,which was video recorded, Florida resident Joh n D avid Green dateof birth: 10/01/1959)toldlaw enforcement (Sac C ity P olice Department O fficers and S pec ial Agents from the FloridaDepartment of Law Enforcement) the following: thaton or around June 5, 2009, John David Greenhad been temporarily living with Mark Edgar Koster at the above-mentioned Sac City, lowa,residence,for approximately 30 day s. M ark E dgar Koster attacked Joh n D avid Greenwitha woodenbaseball bat and struck Joh n D avid Green in the shoulder John D avid Green thentookthe batfromMark Edgar Koster, struck Mark Koster in the head, which caused Mark Edgar Koster to bleed, andthenJohn D avid Green followed Mark E dgar Koster to the ground.
