THE ATLANTA FOUNDATION

The Atlanta Foundation is a 3-year old not-for-profit organization with the vision andmission to support the education of underprivileged students. The major fund raisingevents for this goal are the corporate annual cycling events - the "Republic Ride" (26January) and the "Freedom Ride" (15 August).

These rides started in 2009 with 189 corporate riders and rose to approx. 2000 riders in2011 making it India's biggest corporate cycling events. This year the estimatedparticipation of riders alone is 5000. Apart from this additional 5000 participants areexpected for the carnival and entertainment events.

PROMINENT SUPPORTERS

NASSCOM, ITsAP, TiE, AMCHAM - the Prominent industry forums and HyderabadVisitors Convention Bureau (HVCB), (Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh) SAAP,Ascendas and INVESCO are supporting the Republic Ride 2012.

There is an active participation of employees and their families from Deloitte, GE,Infosys, CA, Wells Fargo, Mahendra Satyam, Microsoft, United Health Group, ADP,Broadridge, Factset etc. Some of the students of JNTU-H, School of Management &Engineering are volunteering for this program. TIME : 7:00 AM : The 100 km cycling ride begins7:30 AM : The 5 km, 10 km rides & kids rides begin. (In protected zone )7:30 AM : Carnival, Cycling Expo, Entertainment & Games (Till 4:00 PM)

THE CYCLING RIDES

The eligibility for all cycling rides is the contribution of Rs 750/- towards fund raising foreducation.

100 KM RIDE: This is the signature ride. It begins at sharp 7:00 AM with the first groupof riders starting the ride immediately after the Flag Hoisting and the National Anthem.After completing 100 km these riders will start returning by 12:30 PM back to the venue.Riders who cannot make it at 7:00 AM can join the next group of riders. There will riders

coming in groups from 7:00 AM to almost 8:30 AM representing various companies. Allof them have to come to the start point to begin their rides.

10 KM and 5 KM RIDES: These rides will begin at 7:30 AM. They will continue until12:00 noon. Enthusiastic participants can keep coming till 11:00 AM.

FREE RIDES: The ride for children below 8 years of age is free. However, they must beaccompanied by a parent or an adult who has registered for the ride.

SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS & EVENTS

This year there is an impressive array of entertainment programs and theme basedgames. It is going to be exciting and fun:

ENTERTAINMENT EVENTS: Fashion Show, Singing & Dancing (Corporates Compete)CYCLING THEME GAMES: Cycle Assembly Team Game, Cyclotomy, Cycle Polo etc..ACADEMIC EVENTS: Vocab! Contest - Grand Finale, Learnasium & Flag me! Contest

COMPETING TEAMS: Please note that Song/ Dance performances should be based onthe theme of "India" or "Cycling" or "Education". Solo acts will be considered forexceptional talent.

AGE GROUP for GAMES: All games and activities at the Republic Ride 2012 are forpeople from 6 years and above. Parents can of course bring their children who are muchyounger but they have to ensure either they or any member of their family is present totake care of them and guide them.

DETAILS of FEES, RIDER KIT, GAME COUPONS & FOOD

REGISTRATION FOR RIDES : Rs 750/- for 100 km, 10 km, 5 km & Kids Ride (1-5 km)CARNIVAL PARTICIPATION : Rs 100/- ( It includes 10 Coupons )

MINIMUM NUMBER of Registrations for Riders from each company is 20. To make thenumber 20, companies are free to include employees, members of their families, theirrelatives and friends.

RIDER KIT: Riders will also get a Rider Kit that includes Rider Bib, Route Map, and aSnack Box. En route the 100 km ride there will be rest stations at every 10 km whereriders will be provided water, juice and light snack.

GAME COUPONS: Riders who pay Rs 750/- will get direct entry into carnival. They don'thave to purchase the Rs 100/- carnival participation ticket. Carnival participants canpurchase extra coupons from the coupons counters if they want to play more games.Each coupon costs Rs 5/- only. Some games may require one Rs 5/- coupon and sometwo or more. It will vary from game to game.

FOOD: There will be a number of Food Courts and Food Stalls where delicious food willbe available on payment.

PRE-RIDE TRAINING and HELP EN ROUTE 100 KM RIDE

PRE-RIDE TRAINING: "Cycling for Fun & Fitness" sessions can be organized andtraining plans can be shared. This can be done at a time and place convenient to thecompany and the Atlanta Foundation. These sessions are typically for 45 minutes.

HELP EN ROUTE 100 KM RIDE: At every 10 kms there will be rest stations sponsoredby different companies. There will be water, juice, fruit or energy bars or any othernutritional food. Additionally, there will be direction signboards, support vehicles, security

personnel and volunteers at regular intervals. Cycle repair facility and medical kits will beavailable for any emergency.

STOPPING THE RIDE: Riders who are not able to ride further can opt out of the ride bystopping at the rest stations. There will be pick-up trucks and transportation to drop themat the GMC Balayogi Stadium at Gacchibowli.

BICYLCES FOR RIDE

FOR 100 km RIDE: Participants are expected to be regular riders who obviously prefertheir own bicycles. Keeping this in view all 100 km riders will have to bring their ownbikes. Riders can park their bicycles 1 or 2 days prior to the event at the Gacchibowli

Stadium Complex.

BICYCLES FOR 10 km & 5 km RIDES will be provided at the venue. There will becounters where riders can take the bicycles and return them after the ride. If someone isinterested to bring their own bicycles they can do so.

BENEFICIARIES OF THE REPUBLIC RIDE 2012

The goal is to raise awareness and funds for the education of under-privileged studentsof schools, such as

PAYMENT: The amount has to be paid in the form of a Demand Draft or a Cheque infavour of "The Atlanta Foundation" payable at Hyderabad.
