The latest Mako 800 CTP System, along with an Agfa Lithostar plate-setter has been sold to Clear Impressions Ltd of Kano State. Mr Ibrahim Yahya attended a demonstra-tion of the Mako system in-stalled at Academy Press, Lagos and was impressed with its ease of use and robust build quality.

The MAKO 800 introduc-es the latest advances in optical technology which produces a smaller and harder dot on the plate. The result is high quality plate imaging with the lowest operating cost in the industry.

The MAKO 800 was engineered to image all formats for 2, 4, 6 and 8-page signatures with resolutions from 1800 dpi to 3556 dpi. With a maximum format of 32.4” x 45.0” (824mm x 1143mm) and production speeds up to 20 Speedmaster 102 plates per hour, the MAKO 800 keeps multipress environments efficient through flexible, fast and trouble-free performance.

Mr Ivor Hutchinson and Mr Chris Broomfield of Hambleside International both attended the demonstration in Nigeria and were also pleased to negotiate a package of consumables to compliment the machinery order.

of laminators, made in Europe for over 10 years they are manu-factured to a high standard and are available from a basic table top unit up to a fully automated B1 sheet size. The most popular model is the Gemini 400 range, laminating single sides at a produc-tion rate of up to 1800 sheets per hour. Each model is available as an operator hand fed unit or as a fully automatic suction pile feed machine with a jogger on delivery. The unit has a built in Becker pump and runs on a 240v domestic electrical supply.

We have good experience of this machine and have found them extremely reliable, versatile and operator friendly. Installation of a fully automatic machine typically takes one day including operator training and we are also able to offer in house technical support and spare parts as well as a range of films.
