Registration

Cedar Hill Rec Online is your easy access to register for classes, renew or purchase a Rec Center membership and check facility availability for the Cedar Hill Parks and Recreation Department. To start, go to cedarhilltx.com/online registration, click on the programs or membership button and browse or search for your class, program or membership, then add selections to your basket and checkout!To register online, you will need your Login ID/Barcode, Account Pin/Password and a valid Visa, Master Card or American Express. To obtain this information please email us at [email protected] or go to the My Account tab on the website and request a new account.

Not comfortable registering online? Register in person at the Parks and Recreation Administration office or the Recreation Center. All classes are payable at registration. Cash, check or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) are accepted. Some programs require additional fees for supplies.

Register at least three days before the start of class. All classes require a minimum number of students otherwise they will be cancelled. Students will be notified of class cancelations.

Refunds or Transfer Policy

Participants will be offered the option to transfer to another class or receive a full refund if a course cancels due to low enrollment or other circumstances. Participant initiated refunds and transfers will be considered when a participant:

1) Submits a written request at least 3 days prior to the start date of the course2) Moves from the area3) Becomes ill

• All users must wear appropriate athletic shoes. • Open toe sandals and flip flops, are not permitted for safety reasons. No hard-soled shoes or spiked heels allowed. • Strollers are not permitted in the fitness area.• Spitting is prohibited.• No one younger than 12 permitted in fitness area. • Youth 12-15 are permitted to use the fitness area after attending an orientation session and have a waiver signed by parent/guardian. • Youth 12-13 must have a parent/guardian present while the youth is working out. • Teens 14-17 need a signed liability waiver with a parent/guardian signature. • Facility users 18 and older are required to sign a liability waiver.

OrientationMembers are encouraged to attend a FREE fitness orientation to learn the basic skills and mechanics of working out with our fitness equipment to ensure safety and proper use. Call 972.293.5288 or stop by the fitness desk to set-up an appointment with the fitness staff.

The fitness area includes 30 cardio machines and 27 of them are equipped with LCD TV’s, 16 strength machines, free weights and six 55” plasma televi-sions. There are 9 ellipticals, 10 treadmills, 5 recum-bent bikes, 3 stationary bikes, 2 Precor Adaptive Motion Trainers and 1 stairmaster. The strength equipment includes stationary machines for the up-per and lower body. There is a free weight area with a variety of weight sizes.

The Cedar Hill Recreation Center features a 3,500 square foot state-of-the-art fitness area containing a three lane walking/jogging track (13 laps = 1 mile).

CHECK OUT OUR NEW EQUIPMENT!The fitness area now has all new Cybex Selectorized Strength equipment. The Cybex VR3 is a group of machines that combines striking appearance with rugged durability. In addition to replacing all of our strength equipment, we have added a brand new Cybex Jungle gym.

Set-Up includes 72’ round tables for seating and 6’ rectangle tables. Room set up is due no later than 2 weeks prior to the event. RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

RESERVATIONSThe Cedar Hill Recreation Center features 5,400 square feet of versatile meeting space. Guests have the option of using the entire meeting space as one room or splitting the area into separate rooms (up to four individual rooms). Each room is adjacent to an outdoor patio and small pond with a beautiful fountain and offers a variety of audio/visual equip-ment for use. Rooms can be reserved up to twelve (12) months in advance and no less than fourteen (14) days prior to event, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Lessee must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older to reserve the facility and must provide verification of age and physical address with current Texas Driver’s License or Identification Card. Lessee is restricted to only one rental on the books at a time and rentals require a two (2) hour minimum. Rental Hours are specified on the contract and must include time for decorat-ing, clean up and removal of property.

DEPOSITS AND CANCELLATIONSRENTAL DEPOSIT AND TOTAL RENTAL FEES ARE DUE AT THE TIME OF RESERVATION. The rental deposit is not applied towards the rental fee, and will be refunded in full when all conditions specified on the contract are met. Reservation cancellations or changes will only be accepted directly from the lessee in person. All cancel-lations must be made by the contract holder and in writing at the Recreation Center. Cancellations made at least sixty (60) days prior to the rental will qualify for a full refund, cancellations made at least thirty (30) days prior to the rental will qualify for a refund of rental fees only, and any cancellations made within thirty (30) days of the event will result in forfeiture of rental deposit and all rental fees.
