(dependingonthematerialofthecontainerand

few!).CutanXinthecenteroftheplasticlid(a
parent'sjob).Putasmallballofplasticadhesive
putty(or
even
asmall
ball
of
masking
tape)
on
the
endofthehandlethatwillgointothecontainer.
Wedgethehandleintotheholeintheplasticlid,
pushingtheputtyagainstthebottomofthecon

Seltzer
Pourvegetableoilintoaclean,plasticbottleuntilit
isabout3/4full,andthenfilltheremainderofthe
spacewithwater.Add10to15dropsoffoodcolor
ingormoreuntilthemixtureisadarkcolor.Cutthe
Alkaseltzertabletintoeighths,andthendropit
intothemixtureonepieceatatime.Allowthe
piecetocompletelydissolveandstopbubblingbe
foreaddingthenextpieceofAlkaseltzer.
UseTableSalttoMakeaLavaLamp
Pour3to4inchesofwaterintoaglassjarandthen
add
several
drops
of
food
coloring.
