Michael Gruber

Friday, July 8th 3:00-4:00 Michael Gruber is a talented musician who plays the guitar. He sings and plays many different types of music for the residents. We are excited to have him join us and share his music with us.

Fun Times at

Carrington!

On June 16th, we had a wonderful

entertainer come in to Carrington

Assisted Living and play some music.

He goes by the name of “Johnny

Dough” and he plays Johnny Cash

songs.

The residents loved listening to his

music and singing and dancing along to

all of his songs. We really enjoyed

having him here and will definitely be

inviting him back to share his music

with the residents again.

Carrington News:

We have been enjoying a nice

spring/summer so far here at Carrington. The

residents have enjoyed getting outside and

soaking up some fresh air and sun. We had an

amazing cookout this past month. There was

great food and great fellowship for all the

residents and their families.

We also have been doing some

fun things indoors as well. We have

been having volunteers come in and

play games and do all sorts of fun

activities with the residents from

playing ball to having a pie social.

There is always so much fun to be

had here at Carrington. We love to

laugh and have a great time visiting

and getting to know one another.

Root Beer Float Pie

Ingredients: 1 carton (8 ounces) frozen reduced-fat whipped topping, thawed, divided

¾ cup cold diet root beer

½ cup fat-free milk

1 package (1 ounce) sugar-free instant vanilla pudding mix

1 graham cracker crust ( 9 inches)

Maraschino cherries, optional

Directions 1. Set aside and refrigerate ½ cup whipped topping for garnish. In a large bowl, whisk the root beer, milk and

pudding mix for 2 minutes. Fold in half of the remaining whipped topping. Spread into graham cracker

crust

2. Spread remaining whipped topping over pie. Freeze for at least 8 hours or overnight

3. Dollop reserved whipped topping over each serving; top with a maraschino cherry if desired. Yield 8

servings.
