The enhancement packages for theSAP ERP application provide new andimproved software functionality thatcan add real value to your business.You can implement each enhancementpackage in a modular fashion; there’sno need to run a major upgradeproject. And you keep your coresoftware stable while you activate onlythe new features and technicalimprovements you want – on your owntimetable – to meet your businessneeds.

This document is designed toprovide transparency on thelicense implications when youare implementing an SAPenhancement package. EachSAP enhancement packagecontains business functions thatyou can activate separately andindependently from each other.The licensing requirements areoutlined in the tables below.The standard licensing model forSAP (see http://www.sap.com/solutions/licensingmodel/index.epx) also applies to businessfunctions shipped as part of SAPenhancement packages. Pleaseconsult the licensing modeldocument prior to choosing afunctionality you want to usefrom an SAP enhancementpackage to learn about potentiallicensing implications for eachbusiness function. In case ofdoubt, please contact your SAPaccount executive to provideyou with detailed informationabout the required licenses.

Extensive List of New andEnhanced Functionalities

The majority of the businessfunctions in SAP enhancementpackages for SAP ERP arecovered by the enterprisefoundation package license.Certain business functions,however, enhance existing

functionality or introduce newfunctionality, and their activationrequires an additional licensepackage, either an enterpriseextension or an industry portfoliopackage license. In each of thesecases, the respective license needsto be in place prior to your activatingor using the business function.

The list below describes forenhancement packages 2 through5 for SAP ERP which license typeis required per business functionin addition to the enterprisefoundation package license. If theenterprise extension or anindustry portfolio package licenseare both mentioned in the tables,you may choose the mostappropriate package license:enterprise extension or industryportfolio.
