Often we are getting a hint were we can find a horse in bad conditions to rescue due to the fact

that a lot of people know Lorenzo.

Thanks to him, knowledge, gift and love to the horses these animals are getting a second chance in life.

The owners dont care anymore about these horses and we have to buy them off to be able to rescue them.

The costs are high and you can help by adopting a horse and like this we will be able to rescue more poor horses.

Our mare Lluna belongs to the horses which founded our stables Hipica Formentor.

She is very experienced with her 18 years.

She looks after every kind of rider and has a special character.

She does spanish trotting and loves to go second on rides.

Thanks to her we have 2 foals,the girlie “ Bonie” and little stallion “ Messi”,

which she inheritated her strong character and they will give us lots of joy in the future.

Mansuro,Gelding and brother of Lluna. Also one of our first horses,born 1994 and as experienced

as his sister.Trained to carry even beginners on trails and women rider love him

due to his dreaming charme.

Gypsy, our 32 years old mare.She is the heart and soul of our stables Hipica Formentor.

Strong,willing,fighter and ongoing…Mother,Grandmother and Greatgrandmother of a lot of horses of us.

We still have the honor to have her on earth with us!

She is fantastic especially for very small riders and very proud to be still a little bit useful.

Jeny, daughter of Gypsy ( 11 y.). Not very tall,but strong as a rock.

She is very important to us and one of the best horses at the stables.

She can carry up to a prox. of a 110 kg.

She and the other horses are your garanty to reach your target save,

relaxed and happy on horseback.

Banderin, approx.12 years -rescued 5 years ago and he was close to be dead.Kept in a dark stable standing in

his own shit and he didn’t know what was daylight anymore.

Why?...because the previous owner thought he was ugly and useless with his falling neck

as an Andalusian Horse ( PRE).

He is now know as the “SOFÁ” of Hipica Formentor and has a soft canter,

love to cuddle and is sensible in a way.

Pandora, approx.13 years - ex Jumping horse for competitions.Burnt out and not for interest anymore for the previous

owners.

We bought her with injured joints,bad hooves and a damaged character.

As a jumping machine she was pushed to the limits without any chance to relax.

Today she is fine thanks to Lorenzo again and happily living in the herd.

October 2011 she gave birth to a beautiful girlie foal named Flicka.

Valiente, young Andalusian ( PRE) who was left alone without water and food.

Born 2006 and our “cuddle monster” at the stables by now.

His character can be described as sensibel,shy and loves to play.

With his spanish troot and soft canter he is definitly a PRE.

His riders are surprised how young and secure he is.

Robin, approx.8 years - our light arabe horse.As a sceleton we bought him from a studfarm,

because apparently he was worth nothing.

Lorenzo converted him with lots of patience to a little ” Batman”.

Young rider just love him and he enjoys his life in the herd.

Susi, approx. 15 years - a fantastic mare!She plays a very important role on the team of Hipica Formentor.

Also rescued from the death sentence she has a great personality and loves children.

Lorenzo’s training made her to a very secure horse and everybody enjoys riding with her.

Heidi, 10 years - Nice of Gypsy.A important part of our Hipica Formentor puzzle.

“Perxerón” blood and can carry up to approx.100 kg.

Born at our stables and from the first minute trained by Lorenzo.

Heidi offers a lot of experience and a good sense for any kind of rider.

Rupert, he wanted to be a mountain goat …but realized he is a horse.

With his very bad past he is a fantastic horse now.

He must be over 20 years old now and his hooves are in perfect condition as he is himself.

On excursions in the surrounding of the stables he shows his knowledge and feeling for the rider,

but on trails in the mountains riding him is just stunning.

With many years of experience he moves like a goat in the mountains

and it’s just pure pleasure to be on his horseback.

Pedro, 6 years – son of Heidi.This horse is the little “Surviver” of the herd..

Since he was born very sick and the vets wanted to put him down.But Lorenzo never gives up!

Thanks to him Pedro is happily jumping around at the stables.

Pedro is a young entertainer of the herd and clients.

Bonie, 6 years – daughter of Lluna. She looks like her mum…pretty and elegant…but a quiet character.

She is ambicious to learn and to show Lorenzo what she can do.

Very young she turned to be a mummy ,but that didn’t stop Lorenzo to keep on training her.

Beginners and advanced riders are enjoying her and love her cosy way.

Hidalgo, approx. 13 years – our last rescued horse of Hípica Formentor.

A Quarter Horse,which we found left alone in the middle of the island and we were able to buy him.

He was a sceleton,damaged hooves and big fear of being hurt again...

Hidalgo was , as a lot of others, a very bad case of a badly treated horse.

After a while he developed muscles and put on weight again…and started to trust us people again!

We hope that one day he will be a real Quarter Horse again and guests love hom now already.

He is a real sweety.

Sam, 12 years – Andalusian ( PRE) and rescued in 2010.

Due to the fact that he was used to pull a heavy horsewagon his back is bent down ,

very sensible in the mouth and hooves were damaged due to irons etc.

This horse only knew asphalt and the heavy horsewagon.

After several attempts to ride him the daughter of Lorenzo decided to train him

and to show him the nice side of life again.

Today they are a great team and looking after each other…

even communicating without signs and words….just thinking!

We, at Hípica Formentor,are very proud of our new generation.

These are foals of 2 years and 2 month of age.

Lets start with the bigger ones: Gina;BJ;Messi;Bounty

Gina, daughter of Gypsy. As you read before she is 32 year old now

and we have another lovely daughter of her.

Gina is exactly like the mother and very promising for the future.

Already taller than the mother with 2 years she weill a strong beauty.

BJ,Brego Junior. Son of the wonderful Jeny, a big young man of the herd.

Looking at him you are surprised that he is actually shy and very sweet.

Messi, Son of Lluna, brother of Bonie.Quiet tall already as the other foals as well,but fine bodystructure and elegant as his

mother.

We didn’t named him after the famous football player ..we named him because he was making

a lovely “mess” from the first moment on earth.

He loves people and to cuddle.

Bounty, Son of Bonie.Smaller than the others and very shy.

He loves his horse family and is not sure what to think of us human beings.

But he will be a lovely horse as well with our training and the way of keeping the horses.

Dante, Son of Susi. When he was born his legs were taller and bigger than his body.We were convinced since that minute

that he is going to be copy of his mother….a total thrusted horse.

He goes on excursions with his mother from day one

and even with 3 months he went on a trail of 4days.

Flicka,the youngest of the family.Daughter of Pandora,mother white as snow and Flicka black as the night.

She has the same strong charácter as her mother,learning fast and loves to cuddle.

On her 3.day on earth she was fighting for her stroh already.

Looking forward to see how she will develope.

Little Baby, our pony since the beginning.

He is Lorenzo’s Darling and

always there were is something going on.

Casie, daughter of Little Baby.She is everywhere…kitchen,tack room etc.

Stubborn and loves to tease and play with visitors.
