A 15-inch high resolution LCD developed specifically for ultrasonic diagnostic,features an ultra-wide angle of visibilityand high intensity. Ultrasonic waves are distorted during propagation in the living body, and thus initiate the second harmonics. The tissue harmonic image (THI) technology which extracts and images these second harmonics enables tracing of images with less noises including side lobe and with high bearing resolution and high contrast resolution, thereby presenting easy-to-diagnose images.Especially for the UF-850XTD, were developed a Gaussian pulse applied method and a high-performance filter with sharp cutoff characteristics to extract the second harmonics with higher precision. This enables highly precise separation between the second harmonics and fundamental ultrasonic waves.

The FDM filing system stores digital ultrasonic images as they were first captured. This digital caputure provides the flexibly to retrieving and compare images between studies. In addition to stationary images, an optional provision enablesstorage of long-term moving images and enables the UF-850XTD to be effectively used for cardiovascular examination. The UF-850XTD can be networked providing a means to transfer studies to networked workstations.
The F-XTD technology is supported by the signal processing engine and the DBF engine for FXT processor and digital beam former. High-resolution images are produced with the pixel beam achieving operating speed and performance comparable with that of an ultrahigh speed computer. These innovative engines are wholly controlled under the software, thereby ensuring highest functionality and reliability in performance.
