The two main ideas considered by the administration to solve the problem of traffic at Poetto are:

Traffic diverted to reduce air and noise pollution, cars - now travelling on the waterfront road (viale Poetto) - should be redirected on the road along the Salt Pans (Via Lungo Saline)

Multilevels underground car parks: To solve the insufficient parking in summertime .

Our Additional Proposals:

Poetto Metrotram (Light rail) New lines should connect Poetto beach with Cagliari and the suburban areas to promote sustainable mobility and less dependence on private car.

Cycle paths and wide sidewalks.The road on the sea front (Viale Poetto) should be reconverted in separated paths for bikes and pedestrians. These paths may also contains a strip of vegetation, grass or bushes.
