Sponsorship Opportunity Education is the cornerstone of a vibrant, competitive economy and the mainstay of a healthy democracy. Schools are the furnaces in which exceptional education is forged, and the leaders of each school form the fulcrum around which the youth of South Africa develop to become active members of society. No national prize or awards event, to encourage and celebrate the achievements of current and emerging leaders in education, has existed until now. The Annual Future Leaders Awards (AFLA) are aimed at doing exactly that. How will The Sponsor Benefit? This call to arms provides the sponsor the opportunity to become an active partner in the transformation of education in South Africa, not based party-political rhetoric, but on the sheer will-power, enthusiasm and moral imperative of the nearly sixty thousand principals, deputy principals and emerging school leaders in South Africa. How will Schools Benefit? Through recognising the efforts of school leaders, the sponsor will become part of a united South African effort to motivate outstanding school leaders to drive on with continuous school improvement; to inspire emerging leaders to improve accountability and academic excellence; and to develop a platform of excellence that every incipient school leader aspires to achieve. AFLA outcomes: Schools will receive honourable status as recipient of an AFLA; Schools will receive financial and tangible awards to support ongoing school improvement initiatives; Schools will receive an annual magazine with award winning case studies on “how to get things right” Schools will receive recognition for their sense of accountability, outstanding governance and effort in shaping young people’s lives Schools will be motivated to continue with their school improvement initiatives
