Play a key role Since its creation, the Future Stars’ Grand Premiere has been instrumental in the growth of accessibility programs

for the performing arts at Place des Arts. The generosity of our partners and donors has enabled us to implement

activities that have an impact and to create unique encounters between various audiences and artists that number in

the hundreds every year.

By offering the opportunity to people to come together, express themselves and meet, we are contributing to

forge a strong community. The arts, culture and their artisans are important vectors of social cohesion: they foster the

development of individuals and communities for a more inclusive future.

On the eve of the tenth edition of the Future Stars’ Grand Premiere, we are determined to pursue our commitment

to improve accessibility to the performing arts. The fall of 2019 marked the launch of Hors les murs, a new series of

rendezvous. For three weeks in the fall and two weeks in the spring, the public is invited to take part in introductory

activities and creative processes on Place des Arts’ Esplanade. With the collaboration of artists from different

ethnocultural communities, these workshops will allow 10,000 people—young and old alike—to be introduced to the

arts as well as to many cultures that reflect the beauty of the diversity of our city.

We invite you to take a look at the various ways you can contribute to this tenth edition and support us in our

mission. An unforgettable evening awaits you and your guests in Théâtre Maisonneuve at Place des Arts.

We look forward to seeing you!

Co-chairs of the organizing committee,

Valérie MilotThe first harpist to win the Prix d’Europe in almost 100 years, Valérie Milot is a highly sought-after soloist. She performs in concert with prestigious orchestras in Canada and abroad, including the Orchestre Métropolitain, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and the Opera i Filharmonia Podlaska in Poland. Whether through the pure tradition of classical music or through her innovative productions such as Orbis, a performance blending music and digital arts, Valérie Milot knows how to make music accessible. Relentlessly creative and a hard worker, this young woman dedicates herself with equal passion to her various roles as a concertist, producer, and teacher.
