The Fuzzy Logic plus PID microprocessor-basd controllerseries,incorporates abright,easy to read 4-digit LED display,indicating process value and set point value. The Fuzzy Logictechnology enables a process to reach a predetermined set point in the shortest time,with the minimum of overshoot duringpower-up or external load disturbance.

HTC-9100 is a 1/16 DIN size panel mount controller.HTC-7100 is a 72x72 DIN size panel mount controller. HTC-8100 is a 1/8 DIN size panet mount controller and HTC-4100 is a1/4 DIN size panel mount controller,These units are poweredby 11-26 or 90-250VD C/VAC supply, incorporating a 2 amp.control relay output as sta ndard. The second output can beused as cooling control, or an arm. Bcth outputs can select triac,5V logic output,linear current or linear voltage to drive externaldevice. There are six types of alam plus a dwell time can beconligured fui the thind output. The units are fully programmable for PT100and thermocouple types J, K, T, E, B, R, S, N, L with noneed to modify the unit. The input signal is digitlzed by using a18-bit A to D converter its fast sampling rate aiiows the unit to control fast processes.

DIgital communications RS-485(for HTC-9100,HTC-8100,HTC-41 00) are available as an additional option These optionsallow the unils to be integreted with supenvisory control systemand software.

A programming port is available for loading the configurationdata with no need to use the keypads on front panel.

By using proprietary Fuzzy modified PID technology,the controlloop will minimize the overshoot and undershoot in the shortesttime. The following diagram is a comparison of results with andwithout Fuzzy technology.

The series are manufactured with custom designed ASIC (ApplicationSpecific Integrated Circuit) technology which contains a 18-bitA to D converter for high resolution measurement(true 0.1F resolution for thermocouple and PT100) and a 15-bit D to A converter for linear current or voltage control output. The ASICtechnology provides improved operating performance, low enhanced reliability and higher density.

The sampling rate of the input A to D converter reaches200 msec. The fast sampling rate allow sthis seriesto control fast processes.

The function of Fuzzy control is adjust PID parameters fromtime to time in order to make manipulation utput value moreflexible and adaptive to various processes. The results is toenable a process to reach a predetermined set point in thepoint in the shortest time ,with the minimum of overshootand undershoot during power-up or external load disturbance.

The units are equipped with RS-485 or RS-232interfacecard to provide digital communication.By using the twistedpair wires there are at most 247units can be connected together via RS-485 interface to a host computer.

A programming port is used to connect unit to a pc for quickconfigurati on, also can be connected to an ATE systemfor automatic testing and calibration.

The auto-tune function allows the user to simplify initial setupfor a new systemm.A clever algorithm is provided to obtainan optimal set of control parameters for the process,and it canbe applied either as the process is warming up (cold start)or as the process has been in steady state (warm start).

According to actual security requirement, one of four lockoutlevels can be selected to prevent the unit from beingchanged abnormally.

Bumpless transfer allows the controller to continue to controlby using its previous value as the sensor breaks, Hence,theprocess can be well controlled temporarily as if the sensor is normal.

The ramping function is performed during power up as wellas any time the set point is changed .It can be ramping upor ramping down ,The process value will reach the set pointwith a predetermined constant rate.

The units have the flexibillty for user to select those parameterswhich are most significant to him and put these parametersin the front of dispiay sequence. There are at most 8 parameterscan be selected to allow the user to build his own display sequence.

A first order low pass filter with aprogrammable time constantis used to improve the stability of process value. This isparticularly useful in certain application where the processvalue is to unstable to be read.
