• Nonprofit organizations, municipalities, counties in the State of Colorado
• Each submitting lead applicant is limited to one marketing matching grant project per fiscal year with the exception of those applying as the lead applicant on behalf of a Colorado travel region. Note: Lead applicants can be a partner in a separate grant application.

Purpose: To support and facilitate projects that contribute to the development of tourism in rural Colorado. Projects will target the technical development of tourism in rural Colorado and support NEW efforts and initiatives.
• Awards up to $15K
• Funded at $90K
• 1:4 Cash Match

• Nonprofit organizations, municipalities and counties in the State of Colorado
• Each lead applicant is limited to one Tourism Development Grant project per fiscal year
• Applicant tourism operating budget from the previous fiscal year cannot exceed $500,000.

Marketing Matching Grant Program Goals The purpose of the program is to:
• Promote Colorado as a tourism destination
• Increase overnight stays from beyond 50 miles
• Leverage CTO funding with industry partners marketing dollars
• Encourage the development of creative and innovative marketing programs
• Support further development of a Colorado travel region’s brand story or positioning statement

• Awards up to $10K
• 1:4 Cash Match
• Funded at $630K (Small Marketing Matching Grant and Marketing Matching Grant)
Small Marketing Matching Grant GRANT PROGAM OVERVIEW
Purpose: To promote Colorado’s lesser known locales and destinations and is intended to increase overnight stays and visitation from beyond 50 miles
• Nonprofit organizations, municipalities and counties that engage in promoting travel throughout the state.
• Each lead applicant is limited to one Marketing Matching Grant project per fiscal year
• Lead applicant “tourism” marketing budget from the previous fiscal year cannot exceed $100,000
Small Marketing Matching Grant WHOSE ELIGIBLE?
Preference will be given to projects that utilize CTO Marketing Opportunities, such as
• Colorado Tourism Office Print Program (OSVG and seasonal travel magazines)
• CTO Co-ops (social media, paid media, user generated)
• Native and Display ads on Colorado.com
• Sponsored Articles, Videos & City Pages

• Nonprofit organizations, municipalities and counties that engage in promoting travel throughout the state.
• Each lead applicant is limited to one Marketing Matching Grant project per fiscal year with the exception of those applying as the lead applicant on behalf of a Colorado travel region.

• Statewide - Statewide organizations, destination travel groups, tourism associations
• Colorado Travel Region - Group of Colorado entities representing an entire branded Colorado travel region**
• Other Regional Partnership - Multiple CO communities (cities, towns or counties) with geographic similarities, traveler behaviors, cultural identities, infrastructure links, etc.
• County/Local Applicants - Individual county, local municipality, DMO or association
