Developing Partnerships
• Relationships based on Common Interest– Donors with a passion for business, and development
will have a passion about ensuring your project and group success
– Think about your in-country project, and find local entrepreneurs in the US who are doing similar work
• Think of donors as partners– Ask for their advice and expertise– Keep Them informed through project reports, meeting
invites and events

Sustaining Relationships
• Follow Through– Debrief donors after each brigade, explaining the
results of their donation, and the new needs that have developed
– They know that success is long-term, and will value it more if they feel a personal commitment
• Develop a structured commitment– Ask for long-term commitments, and set up structured
donation plans for your org.
• Invite them to come on a brigade!
