Blessings and special protection from the hands of Our Blessed Mother be upon you and your families in thisNew Year of Our Blessed Lord – 2021! Let me begin by thanking so many of you for your beautiful Christmas cards, letters, inspired words, gifts,and heart moving generosity expressed in thanksgiving for the Greater Glory of our Lord here at St. Patrick'sduring this Christmas Season. On behalf of the Staff, Deacon Vivian and Fr. Valentine - thank you verymuch! Please know that I have personally offered up a Private Mass of Thanksgiving for all of you and yourfamilies. Now that we find ourselves crossing the threshold of 2021, having had 10 months of COVID-19 affectingevery dimension of our lives, I want to take this opportunity to thank the staff who, for parish financialreasons, have not come back to their positions at St. Patrick’s. We extend to each one our thanks andappreciation for their many years of service and heartfelt contributions to our parish. In light of our ‘newnormal’ reduced weekly donations, St. Patrick's has had to embrace a restructuring of roles and parishresponsibilities with the support of the Human Resources Department of the Diocesan Pastoral Centre. Oneyear ago, we were blessed to function with a staff of 12 employees – moving forward, we will function tothe best of our abilities with 3 office staff members that have absorbed extra responsibilities to ensure thatthe needs of our parish are met. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Ms. Marta Lopez as ourParish Administrative Assistant, Ms. Harriett Cariaga as our Parish Pastoral Program Coordinator and Ms.Gail Crimi has resumed her responsibilities as Parish Sacrament Coordinator. Please keep us all in yourprayers as we embrace and navigate this new reality. Due to the lasting effects of COVID, we have also had to restructure the way that the majority of ourfinancial support comes to the parish. In times past, the beginning of January marked the time for pickingup new parish envelopes for weekly donations. In an effort to continue cutting costs, we no longer provide‘boxed envelopes’ for weekly donations. We encourage you continue supporting our Lord’s work at St.Patrick's by going to our new website and clicking on the ‘DONATE’ header, which will then provide you withthe opportunity to make a financial contribution. If you would like to sign up for the convenience of autodebit, please fill out the form on our website and send it in to our parish office. Given the intensity of this trying year, we understand that many of our St. Patrick's families ardently desireto join us for the celebration of the Holy Mass and find themselves unable to do so because of the current15% occupancy directives in place by the Province. In order to assist many of you in keeping the Faith alivein your hearts and within your families, we have secured a subscription for the entire parish toFORMED.ORG. To access an incredible amount of Catholic resources, teachings, and videos for both adultsand children - a virtual library of information - click on the header entitled ‘FAITH DVLPMT’ on our website.We also encourage you to become a ‘lamb of St. Patrick’, so that every Sunday, you may receive aninspirational teaching video that will serve to nourish your family with Truth. Lifting you all in daily prayer through the hands of our Blessed Mother and thanking each of you once againfor your support of our Lord's continued work for the salvation of souls occurring through St. Patrick's!
