, until the pressure buildsback up but it's okay to letfaucets drip to prevent pipesfmm freezing in these sub-zero temperatures we willbe having later this week,"Medley said. "Hopefully wewill have a good.run andwon'thave any more breaksfor a while."

Medley said allLivingston Water customersare still under a boil wateradvisory which is expectedto be lifted later this week.

Eastern Rockcastle Wa-ter Association PresidentTony Bullock said their cus-tomers on Sand Hill are alsounder a boil water advisoryas a result of tlie water mainbreaks in Livingston andthat he also expects the ad-

visory to be lifted later thisweek.

Former Russell County Lakerand football standout JasonFoley, who now is a teacher sndcoach in the Pulaski CountySchool System, recently receiveda prestigious honor in the ranksof coaching by being selected asthe 7th Grade Team KentuckyHead Coach for Middle SchoolFootball. Foley, who played atRussell County High SchoolSom 1999-2002 as a runningback, broke the single seasonrushing, afi-time career rushing,and all-time career touchdownrecord at that present time duringhis playing days for the MightyLakers. He held these records forover a decade for the Lakersfmm 2002-2012 with close to5,000 yards and 55 touchdowns.He also was a two-time DistrictPlayer of the Year in 2001 and2002 and wss a part of theschool's first ever playotr win in2000. He went on to play fouryears of college football atCampbellsvifie University. Foleyspent one season es an assistantvarsity coach and head Seshmancoach for the Laker in 2009.

This past November, Foleywas selected by the presidentand board members of theKentucky Middle SchoolFootbsfi Association to lead andselect the Kentucky state team tocompete in the FBU National

Toulllelllellt. This to tllfllllellt lsnow in its 6th year and consistsof top middle school sfi-starteams in many states acmss theentire nation. Foley was selectedto lead the Kentucky team basedofi'is resume and accomplish-ments ss a coach and leader.

In the process of developingthe team, Foley wss able to handpick his assistant coaches andplayers to be on the team as longas they were members of the KYMiddle School FootballAssociation. Foley chose fourassistants Som his own statEtwo Sum Corbin and one SomBelfiy. One assistant chosen wasanother former Russell County2003 graduate, Eric Minton.Minton has been a pmt ofFoley'sstair for five years at NorthernPulaski, coaching wide receiv-ers, defensive backs, snd assist-ing in the olr-season condition-ing pmgmm. According to Foley,Minton has been a very valuableasset to him and to the Northernpmgrsm and does a great job asan assistant coach as well asdeveloping player in the oif-sea-son.

In the selection process of theplayers, Foley and his stafFwatched hours of film, livegames, and contacted coachesthroughout the state to assemblethe most talented young men in

the Bluegrass. Afier selectmg theplayers, Foley and his staff wereable to pmctice their team forthree weekends in locations ofRichmond and Bsrdstown,implementing his base schemesolrensively and defensively. Thenational 64 team tournament thenbegan play in the early weeks ofDecember. In the first mund inPaducah, KY, Team Kentuckybeat Tennessee 48 to 6 and thenbeat St. Louis, Missouri 8 to 6 ina battle. This advanced the teamto the sweet 16 the followingweekend in Buford, Georgiawhere Foley led Kentucky toan upset by beating the hometeam Georgie 28 to 12, movingTeam Kentucky to the elite 8and I game away from thefinal four in Naples, Florida.

In the Elite 8 game, afterleading for three quarters, theKentucky team aune up short 21to 14 against Broward, Florida.Bmward would go on to competefor the national championshiplosing to North Texas in the finalin a closely contested game.

It was a great run for Foley, hisstalE and Kentucky, snd a greatrepresentation for the entire stateon a national level. In talkmgwith Foley, the experience waswonderful working with thestates best and most dedicatedplayers and coaches and some.

He hascreated snd built a juggernaut atthe middle school level in whichhis team is among the top year inand year out statewide. Also, injust this psst year, the PulaskiCounty High School Mamons(the school Northern is the feedertoi won their first ever KHSAAState Championship snd was thefirst ever to do it in PulaskiCounty at the high school level.This was no coincidence ss Foleyhas played a huge part in aidingin that accomplhhment as well.He hss worked closely with thehigh school andy and program inhis tenure at Pulaski and all fourclasses Sum Seshmsn to seniorwere young men that Foleycoached and molded together atthe middle school level in prepa-ration for the big stage.
