Artists Concept note:
My recent bronzes deal with the concept of balance, the scenes of a fraction in dance. The notion is alwaysto capture a splendid movement or a fraction of a performance, this intention let me work on the themeslike Ballet Dancers, the feats in an action or a recital. This series of works are quirky inspirations of myartistic life and also some of them are inspired from the works of western great master Edgar Degas's BalletDancers. Some of my sculptures are supported on bases that take the form of the shadow formed by the performer, giving an interesting reflective image of the act. This is an attempt to show the shadow as a base or pedestaland also trying to make it part of the concept. Here in my work I used nature as dress for figure and free standing sculptures to show how beautiful thenatures is in the form of leaf with human being a nature friendly, also the fever of going green was out inTelengana and all over India in last months made me create the combination of human with nature in mycomposition. My works are not just an attempt to capture the movement but also to show the skillful execution of facialexpressions, tactile quality of drapery, fine folding of the costumes and also the forms with good anatomyand proportion. These ideal forms are the results of my scholastic practice of earlier years of an artist.Another series of works done in bronze, aluminum, wood and iron( Titled: "Urban sprawl" Meaning: Urbansprawl is basically another word for urbanization. It refers to the migration of a population from populatedtowns and cities to low density residential development over more and more rural land.
The end result is the spreading of a city and its suburbs over more and more rural land.) in which I tried toshow the drama of eco-friendlyness which humans are actually doing with help of flying leafs andballerinas who are wearing leave dress and hiding the red zone which is ahead without the presence oftrees and I tried to show the trees with buildings over it instead of leaves which is actually a concretejungle caused by human civilization. this is an examples of experiments with different mediums and forms,in which I tried to present the works in more simplified forms. These works illustrate my intention that notto stick with one sort of presentation but also exploring more possibilities with different mediums, according to the concept.
