Additionally, produce a DTP mock-up of the layout of the contents page.

Representation
Representation of lady GagaThe costume she is wearing is shown to be provocative although she is covering the front part of her body, which is not too exposing for a magazine, her body image shows her as teasing and daring, as she is starting to turn towards the camera and holding her finger to her mouth shows a sexual playful pose. She is positioned in a long shot to show her body image as playful and she wants to be represented as sexy. Her facial expression is serious and seductive, her makeup is quite bland apart from her eyes which are more bold as she has gone for the dark smoky look to draw attention to her eyes for a sexual image the panthers help represent this image, in the cover she has used panthers to represent her cover line as ‘sexy beast’ they make her seem dangerous and playful.
Lady gaga’s costume is bold and different because of how wide the shoulders are which represents lady gag to be unique and different to other pop stars, she has covered herself up with the black blazer except she's pulling it down at the side to attract the readers attention by showing she's got confidence and wants to tease the audience. Her facial expression shows her to be intense and powerful as she is staring into the camera her face is serious and she is gritting her teeth together to show sexual tension and intensity, she is positioned in a medium shot which shows the main part of her body image the shot makes the focus on the unique part of her which is her facial expression and her hair, her hair and make-up is wild and creative to show the readers what lady gaga is really like, bright purple shows she is wild and different the bow adds to it to make her more unique , the pose she is in shows confidence and power as she is stood up straight and showing herself off.
Eminems costume shows him as bland and powerful as everyone knows who he is so he doesn’t need a wild costume to set peoples attention on him, the necklace he is wearing represents him as faithful and sacred, he is in a medium shot to show the main part of his body and to focus on his facial expression, it shows his strength and independence by all his tattoos and by the way he is standing with his arms crossed shows anger and rage, his facial expression shows tense as he is frowning and his face is tight together.

Generic conventions of content pages
Masthead – the ‘Q’ logo is on the magazine as it is the brand and it promotes it, it’s not very big as it is such a popular magazine, it has the title ‘contents’ after it in bold writing which is conventional as the reader knows what the page is for and they know what will be included in the magazine they buy.
The magazine has used the same colour scheme throughout the contents and have stuck to 3 main colours, using the same colours is conventional to a magazine so it all combines and looks more professional.
On the content page they have a main image which the reader will notice as it is the main feature which relates to the article on page 96 as they’ve made the text large and bold so the readers will know to read that as it is the main feature.
The issue number is used to differentiate each issue of the magazine.
A small image is also used as it will relate to a main article within the magazine it also promotes the content page more.
The content page is laid out with different page numbers talking about artists so readers know what's included
They are also advertising a feature for there magazine
The font stays the same throughout apart from the masthead as that is the main title so it is different from the rest.
Double page spread • Notes on double page spread: • In my interview there are not many questions asked, Bill Demain
is telling a story throughout the interview on his career, he explains how it felt to write a specific song, he tells the audience about the movie he made and how the song affected the audience.
• The interview is relayed to the reader as it is in short paragraphs.• No questions asked in the interview, the writer is telling the
audience what he can see going on in kirks life, the main topic is kirks life as he refused to do the interview.
• Lostprophets interview is different to the rest as there are specific questions being asked and the band give paragraphs of answers
