What is a GAEL period?
Academic Flex Period designed to help develop your time management skills.
Opportunity during your day to study, access tutoring, make up missed tests, visit counselor, take care of school business (ie buy dance tickets, check out books), eat

You MUST sign in during the first 10 minutes of your GAEL period.

What is the HUB?
GAEL period is a privilege available to those who demonstrate academic and behavioral responsibility.
ACADEMIC monitoring: Every 3 weeks. If your grades drop to D’s, you will be required to spend this period in the HUB.
System is designed to help you in a timely manner. We want you to be successful!
What is Loss of Privilege (LOP)?
Every period we have a LOP (detention) location.
You will be assigned to LOP during your GAEL period for not demonstrating responsible behavior. (See GAEL force guide)
Examples:Tardies, Dress Code, failure to scan in during GAEL, not having ID card
