STATE TIMES NEWS DODA: In a tragic incident, two persons diedwhile six other got injured when a vehicle theywere travelling in skidded off the road and fellinto deep gorge near Sui Gwari area of districtDoda, 20 KM from Doda town last night.
According to reports, a Tata Sumo (JK14-7864) was on its way from Pul-Doda to Prem-
Nagar, when it reached near army campSuigwari, driver lost control on the vehiclewhile negotiating a curve,vehicle skidded offthe road and fell into deep gorge resulting indeath of two passengers and injuries to sixinjured.
After coming to know about the accident,Army personnel immediately rushed to thespot and along with locals rescued all the pas-sengers from ill fated vehicle and shifted themto District Hospital Doda where doctorsdeclared two of them as brought dead.
The deceased have been identified asMohinder Singh (28) son Madhu Lal andKamaljeet (25) son of Mohan Lal both res-idents of Dhara Doda.
The injured have been identified as SurjeetSingh (20) Son of Romesh Kumar residentof Mohalla, Surinder Singh(35) son ofKrishan Lal resident of Dhara , Bihari Lal(50) resident of Dhara, Ram Parshad (18)son of Jagdish Raj resident of Mahallah,Suresh Kumar (31) son of Hakem Singhresident of Shiva and Vishal (22) son ofSwami Raj resident of Panshaie. Police hasregistered a case in this regard at PoliceStation Doda.

He was accompa-nied by SDPO RailwaysUdhampur and SHO PoliceStation GRP Manwal andother officers of GRP.
The SSP passed necessarydirections to the officers andofficials to adopt advancesecurity measures in order toensure the safety and securityof Railways System. SSPRailways Katra checked themanpower deployed at theRailway Stations Manwal anddirected the SHO concernedto strengthen the RailwayStation Manwal. He also tookstock of the measures which
are being taken by GRP per-sonnel for the safety and secu-rity of the railway track, tun-nels, culverts and Bridges.SSP also checked the basicamenities like food, water,electricity, washroom etcbeing provided to thedeployed manpower. Later ona Darbar was also held inwhich the SSP listened the
grievances of the GRP man-power deployed at PoliceStation GRP Manwal. Hebriefed the officers and offi-cials deployed at the RailwayStations and track to performtheir duties with punctualityand dedication so as to avoidthe possibility of any sabotageat the track by theANEs/ASEs.

The harvested wheat crop inthe field of one Bhajan Singhson of Bagh Singh resident ofvillage Seri was gutted when itcaught fire as the HT wire col-lapsed generating spark there-by. The plot of over 3 Kanalsof wheat was burnt and thefarmer was deprived of thewhole year's food grain.
