After arriving at San Cristóbal we will visit the Interpretation Center, where we will learn moreabout the origin of the archipelago, its fauna and flora, as well as the history and its firstinhabitants. After that, we will hike for about 2 hours until Frigate Hill where we will enjoy theendemic vegetation and a beautiful view of the island and its surroundings. The mainattraction here is the frigate birds. At the end of the day, we will visit Frigate Bay and do somesnorkeling. Return to the hotel. Accommodation at the selected hotel.

SANTA CRUZ - HIGHLANDS - JUNE 19

San Cristobal - Santa Cruz Island – Highlands (B, L)

Transfer to the port where we will take a speedboat to our next destination which is SantaCruz Island. The boat trip takes about 2 hours and a half. At the arrival to Santa Cruz, a guidewill be waiting for us to take us to the hotel where we can leave our luggage. We will seize themorning to visit a ranch in the island’s highlands where we will be able to see Giant Turtles intheir natural habitat. Lunch at the ranch. After this visit we will head to Puerto Ayora to check-inin the selected hotel.

Optional activity: After lunch we will proceed to leave our “soul print” in the Galapagos Islandsand you will be part of the project of conservation on the Island. The program consists inplanting your own tree in Primicias Ranch, this tree will have your name on and later on, youwill receive a certificate for actively supporting in the maintenance of the Galapagos'ecosystem. Return to hotel.

During 16th - 17th Centuries, Havana was always invaded by pirates or other countries, so itspent 70 years to build a stone city wall to protect the old city. However, due to the expansionand development of the city, most of the old city walls has been demolished since late 19thCentury. There are four main squares inside the old Havana City and many old colonialmansions can still be found inside the City. Also, there are so many old shops like hand-madeperfume, cigar, pharmacy. It is a living-open-air vintage museum.

Start your second day with a visit to the neighborhood of Jaimanitas, where artist José Fusterhas decorated his own home, as well as dozens of other homes, with funky paintings andceramic artwork. Also known as the Cuban Gaudi, Fuster’s public art project has earned thenickname of “Fusterlandia”. Move on to pay a visit to Colon cemetery, where several historicCuban figures were laid to rest in beautiful graves and mausoleums. Pay a visit to the Callejonde Hamel, an alley covered in murals and statues inspired by the Santeria pantheon, beforeheading back to Havana vieja to explore the four main plazas and the adjoining places ofinterest, such as the St. Francisco de Assisi church, the palace of the Captain-Generals andthe Fuerza Real castle.

Depart from Havana for a daytrip to Viñales valley in the middle of Cuba’s tobacco region inthe province of Pinar del Rio. Cuco is also the archaeological capital of America and for good reason. The Temple of theMoon, one of the three major temples in the Machu Picchu area, is nestled on the side of themountain and is situated at an elevation lower than Machu Picchu. Adjacent to the Temple ofthe Moon is the Great Cavern, another sacred temple with fine masonry. The other major localtemples in Machu Picchu are the Temple of the Condor, Temple of Three Windows, PrincipalTemple, "Unfinished Temple", and the Temple of the Sun, also called the Torreon.
