THE OBJECTIVES OF YMCA YOUTH SPORTS• Promote a value-oriented youth sports programs for boys and girls.• Teach and develop fundamental skills of basketball & football.• No tryouts, No Cuts. All participants, regardless of size or ability, are allowed to play at least one half of each game.• Teach sportsmanship and love of the game (safe, fair play, enjoy physical exercise and learning to work together in a team environment).• Emphasis is on the four core YMCA Character Development values- Caring: To love others and be sensitive to the well being of others involved in the sport. Honesty: To have integrity. Make sure that one’s actions match one’s values through participation in sports. Respect: To value the worth of every person, including oneself, teammates, opponents and officials. Responsibility: To be accountable for one’s behavior and obligations.

The Gallatin Valley YMCA is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization that serves our community. We offer 4 youth sport leagues that provide exciting, safe, value based experience for children K-5th grade. The Y provides these leagues at affordable rates to children and families. For those that can not afford our low rates, we offer financial assistance so that no child or family is turned away due to inability to pay. We can offer this only through the generocity of companies, individuals, & organizations like yourselves by sponsoring our program.
