Wishing you all a very healthy and safe 2021. I understand that the start of the year is not something we like as we are again locked down. We can treat this time in self reflection and exploration and I hope my Newsletter can help in this regard. This is my very first Newsletter I ever published. I have been writing inconsistently but was not sharing any of it. So, with this New Year, my resolution is to share my writings as much as I can. While developing this newsletter, I had been musing if I should make it very simple with few content or go full out...I felt it would not do justice if I had written very little as it would only appear that this Newsletter was only created for marketing purposes with no value. Also, we are living in an age of information overload with so much out there. So many newsletters to read that we hardly read anything and delete most of it. So, I decided to do a middle path. I kept this Newsletter minimal with basic information on each topic. Each topic has a clickable link to follow in case you would to explore further on that topic. I am not expecting that this newsletter be finished in one sitting or reading. Coming back to a topic of interest would be ideal. As this will come out monthly, there would be 4 weeks to explore this in entirety. Finally, I do welcome your suggestions and ideas for improvement. Most of the written articles are written on the spot and could contain grammatical errors and I apologize if that is the case making it look very amateurish. I am hoping that as time passes by, I will improve my writing skills. I would love to hear from you folks. Call me, text me or email me anytime. Wishing you the very best….

Welcome 2021 !!! Wishing you all a very healthy and safe 2021. Iunderstand that the start of the year is not something we like as we areagain locked down. We can treat this time in self reflection and explorationand I hope my Newsletter can help in this regard.

This is my very first Newsletter I ever published. I have been writinginconsistently but was not sharing any of it. So, with this New Year, myresolution is to share my writings as much as I can.

While developing this newsletter, I had been musing if I should make it verysimple with few content or go full out...I felt it would not do justice if I hadwritten very little as it would only appear that this Newsletter was onlycreated for marketing purposes with no value. Also, we are living in an ageof information overload with so much out there. So many newsletters toread that we hardly read anything and delete most of it.

So, I decided to do a middle path. I kept this Newsletter minimal with basicinformation on each topic. Each topic has a clickable link to follow in caseyou would to explore further on that topic. I am not expecting that thisnewsletter be finished in one sitting or reading. Coming back to a topic ofinterest would be ideal. As this will come out monthly, there would be 4weeks to explore this in entirety.

Finally, I do welcome your suggestions and ideas for improvement. Most ofthe written articles are written on the spot and could contain grammaticalerrors and I apologize if that is the case making it look very amateurish. Iam hoping that as time passes by, I will improve my writing skills. I wouldlove to hear from you folks. Call me, text me or email me anytime.

These layers are interwoven, interrelated, and interactive—what happens on one level affects all other layers of the body.|The 5 bodies are: Physical body, Life/energy body, Emotional ormental body, Intellect Wisdom body and Joy/bliss body.In this section, I will concentrate on our energy body.)Shakti Yoga/ Kundalini Yoga / Tantra Yoga work with the Energybody. In Tantra Yoga practice, a yogi harnesses his energy forhigher advancement on the path of yoga. ‘Nidi Shodhan’ is one ofthe main practices in this direction. ‘Nadi’ means energy channelsand ‘Nidi Shodhan’ means clearing the energy channels.CONTINUE READING HERE...

AYURVEDA & RECIPE OF THEMONTH

Ayurvedic knowledge originated in India

more than 5,000 years ago and it places

importance on prevention. Ayurveda

considers the maintenance of optimal

health through balance in one’s life,

through right thought, diet, lifestyle and

the use of herbs and teaches how to

make lifestyle changes to bring about

and maintain this balance.

Winter usually brings about longer

nights, less light and these have

traditionally given rise to depression.

The beginning of this year is also not

very encouraging with lockdowns

everywhere and the news of gloom and

uncertainty all over.

Ayurveda recommends exposure to

sunlight and if sunlight is not available,

sitting near a fireplace. Also keeping the

home well lit.

In winter, I like one-pot, slow-cooker

meals that bring delicious aromas and

are warm and comforting. Adding

warming herbs like ginger and cayenne

can also lift up mood....LEARN MORE

Qi Gong pronounced CheeGong is an ancient Chinese system that involves a series of gentlemovements and exercises including slow, circular movements, regulated breathing, focused meditation, and self‐massage thatmakes the mind and spirit tranquil, improves performance, cultivates health, well‐being, and long life.

YOGA SUTRASPATANJALI

Yoga Sutras or principles of yoga were in existence in oral formfor several thousands of years. Some researchers claim thatpractices were followed since 3000 BCE. Sutra is an ancient formof writing. The word sutra means aphorism. Each sutra resemblesa verse or one sentence. It is a mnemonic guide that was used byancients to remember a subject briefly when printing technologywas not available and one had to reduce text to one sentence.
