All sources I have, (original English sheet music, and the booklet in the remastered CD) both say 'Lin Tai Yu', and listening carefully to both the original, and live version, with headphones on, it clearly sounds to be 'Yu'. The name is from a classic Chinese character from the novel,'Dream of the red chamber'. Tai Yu is sometimes transcribed as Tai-Yu, or Daiyu. I went with Peter Gabriels spelling.
