We would first like to send our best wishes to our former ag teacher, Mr. Ken Parsons and wish him well on his newest endeavor! At the same time, we would like to welcome our newest addition, Mrs. Christen Roseberry as our new ag teacher! This year has seen lots of work for the Garrard County mem- bers. Our biggest feat is building our new school farm. With the move to the new school, we have almost 40 acres that have been given to us to use as a working cattle farm. We are currently in the earliest stages of building, but should make more progress as the weather improves! Our more competi- tive members have been working hard on FFA contests. We have a great Parliamentary Procedure team this year, as well as some really good speakers. Win or lose, we will have a great time competing at Regionals. As always, we have attended the National Convention, leadership conferences, regional meetings, and many other events. In addition, we have many students who will be entering proficiency appli- cations for their SAE projects. We look forward to being con- tenders in as many contests as we can. For FFA week this year, we have some fun events sched- uled. This year’s events include FFA T-shirt day, western wear day, movie night, Ale 8-1 chugging contest, and motorsports day. These events are some of our favorites and are sure to be staples in our FFA weeks for years to come! We would also like to invite all people to check out our new website, www.ihigh.com/garrardffa and see our other events! 2011-12 GARRARD COUNTY FFA OFFICER TEAM FFA ADVISORS: KEN PARSONS & AARON McDONALD LEARNING TO DO, DOING TO LEARN, EARNING TO LIVE, LIVING TO SERVE.
