This year has been a wild one for the Garrard County FFA!We would first like to send our best wishes to our former agteacher, Mr. Ken Parsons and wish him well on his newestendeavor! At the same time, we would like to welcome ournewest addition, Mrs. Christen Roseberry as our new agteacher!
This year has seen lots of work for the Garrard County mem-bers. Our biggest feat is building our new school farm. Withthe move to the new school, we have almost 40 acres thathave been given to us to use as a working cattle farm. We arecurrently in the earliest stages of building, but should makemore progress as the weather improves! Our more competi-tive members have been working hard on FFA contests. Wehave a great Parliamentary Procedure team this year, as well
as some really good speakers. Win or lose, we will have agreat time competing at Regionals. As always, we haveattended the National Convention, leadership conferences, regional meetings, and many other events. In addition, wehave many students who will be entering proficiency appli-cations for their SAE projects. We look forward to being con-tenders in as many contests as we can.
For FFA week this year, we have some fun events sched-uled. This year’s events include FFA T-shirt day, western wearday, movie night, Ale 8-1 chugging contest, and motorsportsday. These events are some of our favorites and are sure tobe staples in our FFA weeks for years to come! We would alsolike to invite all people to check out our new website,www.ihigh.com/garrardffa and see our other events!
