Ministry Experience June 2008 Present College Church in Wheaton Wheaton, IL Pastor for Discipleship Ministries Member of the Executive Pastoral Leadership Team with senior leadership to make strategic plans for implementing the vision of College Church Preach from the pulpit throughout the year in both morning and evening services Teach in any adult ministry setting as needed Supervise seven members of the pastoral staff, which includes the Children’s Ministry Director, Disability Ministry Director, Junior High Pastor, High School Pastor, College Pastor, and Small Groups and Community Outreach Pastor and South Wheaton Campus Pastor Equip and direct the Women’s Ministry Leadership Team which included the launch of a “Training for Women in Ministry” program involving 40 young women designed to train them how to read, study and teach the Bible Equip and direct lay leader for Men's Ministry to provide vision and leadership to Men's Ministries which increased involvement from 30 to 100 men attending a monthly Friday Morning Men's Bible Study Develop and implement core curriculum in our Adult Community Groups called Core Discipleship Classes and EQUIP training courses to provide Biblical and theological training for adults Identify, equip and direct lay leadership of 10 Adult Community Groups Developed the ministry plan for College Church’s first satellite campus, which launched in March 2014 Successfully led search/advisory committees to replace openings on Pastoral Staff, including Junior High Pastor in 2008, High School Pastors in 2005 & 2009, Pastoral Residents from 2011-2013, and College Pastor in 2011 Develop specific ministries that strengthen the spiritual life of the congregation including a church wide scripture memory plan called "Anchor Verses" which has resulted in children, youth, and adults memorizing large portions of scripture Coordinate a birth to adult curriculum plan with Children's Ministry Director and Youth Pastors Identify and direct lay leadership to lead sports ministries of basketball and soccer for 10 years which involves outreach to 400-500 children Carry out all pastoral duties of weddings, funerals, weekly hospital visitation, leading staff meetings, etc June 2001 June 2008 College Church in Wheaton Wheaton, IL Junior High Pastor Provided the vision and direction for the Junior High ministry which resulted in an average attendance of 80-100 students Taught many books of the Bible to 7 th and 8 th graders which included designing Storyline of the Bible and Doctrine Essential courses Led and trained an adult leadership team to use their spiritual gifts to disciple students in their weekly small group settings Led and trained at least 4 interns to lead a weekly Bible study which led to the spiritual growth of many students Personally discipled numerous 7 th and 8 th grade students over 7 years of youth ministry, which led to 40-50 baptisms In fall of 2005 successfully took on most responsibilities of my current role as Pastor of Discipleship Ministries (see above) while continuing to lead all aspects of the Junior High ministry
