DESCRIPTION
"My initial review of Mr. Gary Cobb's Application for a Place on the Democratic General Primary Election Ballot found it to be in order and in compliance with law. Subsequently, Mr. Rick Reed filed a Sworn Petition Challenging the Validity of Candidate Gary Cobb's Application. I have now reviewed the arguments and authorities put forth by both Mr. Reed and Mr. Cobb’s attorney. In light of these materials and after a second review of Mr. Cobb's Ballot Application with all attachments, it remains my opinion that the Application of Mr. Cobb meets the requirements of Texas Election Laws. Accordingly, I denied Mr. Rick Reed’s petition. Mr. Reed has indicated that he intends to file a lawsuit.
