A program needs 10-12 recruits per year to keep the team going

Influence with admissions varies from school to school, level to level.

In Div. 2 & 3- may have the most influence since potential enrollment has more influence on who is admitted.◦ Possibly more influence in Early Decision than Regular

Decision◦ 50% of kids proposed by an athletic coach may be rejected

(Haverford example)◦ Don’t make the coach look badly to admissions!

The majority of California kids must be admitted primarily on their academic record
