The third generation of world famous Gasglass machinery, the Gasglass Handheld v2 is a tool designed for checking the argon or krypton concentration within IG units in a non invasive way.
The technology is based on plasma emission spectroscopy. A high voltage spark is launched in the IG units cavity causing a light emission which is observed and analyzed further. The user can simply place the device against the unit, press the button and receive an instant result with high accuracy.

Inert gases are used in IG production to improve the thermal insulation of the IG units. Additionally the argon and krypton used for the purpose are noble gases making no compounds with other gases and protecting the other valuable materials used in the IG over the life cycle of the IG unit.
