Words of Welcome Call to Confession

Prayer of Confession (unison)

Our hope does rest in you alone, O God. There is no one else who satisfies the longings of our souls and the deep hungers of our hearts. Yet we forget so easily your faithfulness to us, your desire to meet us in our every need. As we seek your mercy and forgiveness this day for the ways we have not remembered you, sharpen our sense of your presence and so remind us to turn first to you. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon Leader: Friends, believe the good news of the gospel. People: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.

* Response Verse 3 of hymn #229, “From All That Dwell Below the Skies”

Eternal are Thy mercies, Lord; Eternal truth attends Thy word; Alleluia! Alleluia!

Thy praise shall sound from shore to shore, till suns shall rise and set no more. Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
