They started out with a splash meet in Rosen- berg and then they traveled to El Campo for the first swim meet of the season. The Gators have competed against Bay City, West of the Brazos, and Wharton so far. They have two swim meets left. They will be going to Angleton this Saturday and then on July 4 they will be in Rosenberg for the championship meet. The Gator swim team consists of Allyssa and Logan Young, Vic- toria and Taylor Alvarado, Paige and Carlee Vandermark, Megan Contreras, Keslie Perez, Arlesia Henderson, Madisyn and Maisyn Stancik, Summer and R. J. Zarate, Lee Fields; Ryan Almanza, Genny and Ari- el Quenneville, Hannah Emmons, Red Cross Swimming Lessons Registration for enrollment in swim courses will be held at the City Pool, Monday, June 30 from 5:30 till 6:30 p.m. Classes for both youth and adults will be held the weeks of July 7 and July 14. There is no way I will fry chicken and fish in 101 heat ever again! This is definitely a winter fundraiser With that said I truly appreciate everything and everyone for your donations. Irliime Flowers received sponsorships back in the spring to play with Quad-City Pivas out of Weimar they are as follows: Eagle Lake drugstore. Eagle Lake Cental Associates, Eagle Lake Funeral Home, Class Concrete, Jake's Piesel, Trafco, LCRA, Winco and Tee-Pee s RV. With their support the Pivas were able to play in tournaments in Houston, Austin, Cedar Park, Puda, San Marcos, Georgetown, fastrop (with 6 out of 7 first place finishings). The sponsorships helped to pay for the Pivas uniforms, entry fees and hotel accommodations. The Pivas also did a drawing and sold candy to pay for their tennis shoes. As the season is winding up, the Pivas are ranked first in their AAU Pivision for 12-14 year olds gearing up for the national tournaments in July. Friday's fundraiser will give Prittnee and the Pivas the chance to end their season with a national title. This award recognizes outstanding 4-H volunteers for their service to 4-H programs and the impact that they have had on the lives of young people. Kazmir is a volunteer leader for the Sheridan 4-H Club. Each of the twelve 4-H Districts in the state may select two recipients to be honored during Texas 4-H Roundup. Kazmir attended the special dinner with his wife, Deloris, and Dale Rankin, County Extension Agent. Gator Swim Team In Full Swing
