New production hall In 2015 Metalbud Nowicki production capacities were increased by a new production hall. Our production is based on state-of-the-art, highly advanced cutting, machining and plastic forming technologies as well as on repeatable assembly operations. All of them are carried out with professional, digitally operated machines which are supervised by a computer quality control system; for example machines for water cutting ("Water Jet"), for plasma cutting, laser cutting, machines with numerical control: turning lathes, CNC millers, advanced semi-automatic welding machines and assembly stations. 2015 Metalbud NOWICKI

Sales MeetingFrom 12 to 14 of October 2015 the

took place for our international distributors at the NOWICKI

headquarters. 71 representatives from 35 countries participated

in the seminar. The subject of the seminar was to present the latest

technology and equipment for the upcoming IFFA 2016 fair

in Frankfurt.

The training was based on technological presentations and workshops,

during which the trainees had an opportunity to gain theoretical and

practical knowledge on terms of technological issues.

Metalbud NOWICKI technicians presented the use of particular

“Chicken-In-Chicken“

The “Chicken-In-Chicken” injecting technologyimproves organoleptic and nutritional quality of chicken products,

by quickly activating much more meat protein and naturally improving

meat taste. By using raw chicken meat protein instead of chemical

additives, binding of water and fat in meat is enhanced thus reducing

time and weight loss during tumbling /massaging. Moreover it also

improves freeze/thaw stability by limiting free water inside and allows

to offer a “clean-label” for final products. In comparison with classic

injection methods, where non-meat ingredients limited product quality,

higher injection yield increases the profit and enlarges production

of high-value products.

The line has a very simple and compact design which helps

to easily achieve the best process performance. The advanced

servo-drive injector equipped with special pumps allows for

the repeated and equal injection level even in the smallest pieces

of meat. Stable injection yield is maintained by independent

cooling units which control emulsion temperature during injection.

Special needles reduce to the minimum marks on meat surface.

Line configuration can be tailored to customer needs, with many

different options for additional equipment like loading units,

emulsion preparing and storage systems, tumblers and conveyor

systems. A small factory footprint, efficiency and limited

maintenance costs make the line highly profitable.

MODERN WASHER SYSTEMS- METALBUD NOWICKI MPA-1200 AND MP-3000

AUTOMATIC INDUSTRIAL CONTAINER WASHERS

The 1200 containers / hour capacity MPA-1200 washer comprises a pre-wash module, main-wash module and container air-blow off module.

The line in question includes unique technical solutions, which introduce outstanding improvements to wash parameters, device use

and maintenance. Side guards, which open upwards assisted by actuators, significantly increase tunnel tightness as well as access to the interior

of the wash chamber. The plate link conveyor, running along the entire length of the set, prevents uncontrolled blockages of the drive system,

caused for example by penetration of potentially hazardous elements, i.e. foil into the wash chamber. The use of top quality materials during

production, ensures except equipment durability. Application of a high performance pump and accurately designed wash manifolds with wide

stream spray nozzles (acid-resistant), as well as high capacity air blow-off ventilators together with specially shaped lip nozzles, translate into

excellent container wash and air blow-off results. The washer is compatible to operate with an automatic container storage systems.

of industrial washer lines.

The high capacity

washers minimise consumption of media yet

still maintain high wash quality.

The roll-out of the next device - the 3000 container / hour capacity

MP-3000 washer - also made an impact. Such capacity was achieved

by the use of two, independently controlled washer lines under one

housing. The structure of the device facilitates expansion of the line

with different modules, which, depending on the expectations

of the target recipient, provide better wash capacity and/or less water

after the air blow-off process. The manufacturer guarantees, that the

water content, subject to correct line configuration and wash

parameters (water temperature, chemical substance, time in chamber),

may even be lower than 5 g per container!

The MPA-1200 and MP-3000 industrial machinery feature a new,

self-aligning container clamping system which adjusts to the container

without operator interference. This is a very convenient solution, which

undoubtedly improves the operation of the device.

The line control system based on a large and clear “touch” control

panel is also worthy of note. The operator panel futures significant

device configuration options. Looking at the display, we see a virtual

device, with elements which we are able to control remotely clearly

marked. It is the operator who decides, which module, and even which

pump will be active at any given moment and thus is able to adjust

the output parameters to the current needs of the plant and optimises

wash parameters to the current, variable process parameters.

Main motor of max power up to 150 kW driven by a frequency

convertor provides a really high level of trust that any product

supplied will be cut properly.

Meat input for grinder 280 mm can be performed by a standard

vertical loader for 200/300 l trolleys as well as pallet boxes and in a

continuous line with belt conveyer. Especially the belt conveyers with

a possibility to install a metal detector are the best way to achieve

the highest results of machine operation at full capacity.

GRINDERS

The family of angle grinders that consists models

and has been recently enlarged by the grinder specially

designed for processing of deep frozen meat.

W-130, W-160

W-200 W-280

The W-280 automatic grinder has been designed to effectively

process whole frozen blocks without any upstream pre-cutting

options. Grinder working augers are made from a one piece of metal

shaft without welding on CNC working centers.

In the grinder, 280 mm of the thread on the auger has a special shape

for smooth movement and grinding of whole frozen blocks of food

products. Hyperbolic shape of the feeding zone prevents clogging

and cavitation of meat. The working chamber with the augers is made

of heavy duty stainless steel materials that results in extraordinary

long life of working elements. The system of meat pressure

stabilization in chambers eliminates the squeezing effects on meat

products. Just clear cut of meat.

All Nowicki grinders have 2 auger drives cooperating with each other:

feeding and working. Angle construction enables good quality of cut

under maximum performance of the grinder. Automatically adjusted

amount of meat by speeding up or slowing down of feeding auger

depending on the charge of main motor always gives the best quality

ratio of cutting and performance in time.

In a MAH type tumbler with low pressure

and low temperature steam injection, user

can defrost meat, poultry and seafood.

Defrosting time is shorter than conventional

techniques. Steam is injected into a vacuum

drum, containing frozen raw material.

In the vacuum environment, the temperature

of the steam is easy maintained at a low

value. It results in not scalding or damaging

the meat. Its color, binding properties

and structure remain perfectly intact.

Today the food producing industries, use more

and more frozen raw material in the process.

The necessity to defrost in a quick and safe way

has become extremely important. Frozen product

often has a low price and is more available.

In order to reach a high quality product it is

important to start the process with high quality

defrosted raw material. Defrosting in a controlled

way becomes very important.

The MAH PSCH/D type defrosting tumbler produced by Metalbud

NOWICKI represents a machine with a wider range of applications

in food processing technology as compared with traditional tumblers.

Special drum construction and dedicated shape of interior mixing

elements enable for the tumbler to be used mainly for the defrosting

process, but simultaneously this machine has all the features

characterizing a traditional tumbler intended for product massaging.

One of the main advantages of this tumbler is time saving thanks to the

possibility of combining several process operations in one machine.

As an example, we can compare a defrosting process, which takes

more than 24 hours with a traditional method while the special

technology of Metalbud-NOWICKI enables to reduce this process from

3 to 16 hours. Defrosting time depends on post - defrosting product

expectations, type of raw material, frosting method (in block

or separately), initial temperature and product purpose.

The next important advantage of the methods

used by Metalbud-NOWICKI is the fact, that

product processing is performed in a closed

drum environment. That influences the

economic aspect- increasing product

profitability by minimizing defrosted product’s

losses and consumption of media.

Defrosting in a vacuum drum with constant control of temperature

in a MAH PSCH/D tumbler allows for improving microbiological

features of the raw material.

The specially selected helical shape of blades for defrosting enforces

movement of the frozen meat elements, moreover the slow massaging

process allow to avoid overheating of the raw material thanks

to constant contact of the cold and warm surfaces.

The defrosting process is fully automated by using dedicated

technological programs developed by Metalbud-NOWICKI

and microprocessor controllers software.

Adjustable drum angle of the tumbler improves loading and unloading

process and allows for cooperation with other supporting equipment

like: conveyors for loading and tunnels for unloading.

The above mentioned applications meet specific customer expectations.

The simple idea of connecting in a single line of a smoker-cooker with intensive cooling house and automatic doors between them to be

opened vertically up - enables 1 operator to perform all thermal treatment with trolleys moving automatically into the intensive cooling zone.

The line working with up to 16 trolleys divided into 2 zones is a perfect solution for factories putting emphasis on automation of lines.

For almost 20 years products have

enjoyed worldwide growth and positive feedback

from customers on the smoking-cooking houses,

intensive cooling houses and other related thermal

treatment machines markets.

Meeting the growing demand of automation

of hermal processing, Novotherm rolled-out with

a semi-automatic line for smoking - cooking

and intensive cooling.

NOVOTHERM

Controllers of the whole machine line allow for independent performance of thermal treatment, intensive

cooling processes as well as both of them combined. The whole process is automatically performed

and controlled by controllers and each point can be displayed and recorded on the main computer in meat

plant.

Unloading of cooling zone is possible even with thermal treatment performed on the “hot side of line”.

We have the same situation with loading the smoke trolleys into the smoking area while the cooling is still

performed in the cooling side. With good organization of work, the smoking cooling line can be working

at almost 100% of its nominal capacity. There will be almost no waiting time for finishing the process.

Additionally we prevent heat energy loss in the cooking part making it more ecological and more efficient.

Every detail of the smoke house is designed to perform the process as effectively as possible, even

the construction of our slides for entrance of trolleys into the smoke house and its removal from cooling

part that eliminates the work of an operator, results in a positive input into overall performance of a smoke

house.

Quick cooking times, intensive smoke, losses decreased to a minimum level, uniform layout of temperatures

and smoke in the modules - those things really make Novotherm smoke houses a really good choice for

a meat processor who looks at every point to improve its competitiveness.

Efficient cooling with cold water and air and a combination of both guarantees chilling down in the +42 C

down to +15 C range in minimum time. Cooling intensively in that temperature range ensures that growth

of bacteria is decreased to a minimum so that the shelf life of products is definitively longer than cooling

in regular showers and with less losses.

Those two machines combined into an automatic line make it a really good choice for industrial players

in meat processing.
