Kelsey SmithShoot 2

In my second shoot I aimed my attention on trying to focus on and define the main subject of the picture and I am pleased with my results.

The backgrounds are also brighter which make the photos more effective.

I have taken my photos from unusual backgrounds which make them more effective.

I have also improved on using natural light to make the photos clearer. I think I have improved on the brightness of the photos.

I took these photos in my conservatory so that there was a lot of natural light coming in from the outside. I think this made a big improvement on my overall final pictures. I focused well on the main objects of the pictures and defined the subject.

On the top right picture I used leading lines on the guitar neck. I think this makes the photo a lot more effective.

I took a picture of my lava lamp to try and capture different colours in a different pattern. I did this to make the picture more interesting and eye catching.

Improvements and PhotographersOne of my favourite photographers is Roland Hicks. He gets close up on small objects such as belongings and makes his photos very

effective by focusing on the main subject. I have used Rolands techniques in my photos by taking pictures of my belongings from

unusual angles. Roland also uses a lot of natural light in his photos which I think I have improved on in my second shoot.

Another one of my favourite photographers is Carli Davidson. She mainly takes pictures of animals using black or white

backgrounds. For me it was quite difficult to find an actual fully white background so I used the conservatory in my house and used the natural light from outside to define the colours of the

dogs fur. Both of these photographers have had a massive effect on my photos and their techniques have helped me to capture some

interesting photos.
