DOK is a scale of cognitive demand, not based on the “verb”. (questions are multi-step problems)
Test takers are expected to analyze arguments, use text for evidence and use of reasoning skills

Multiple choice items have five answer options.
Test-takers are allowed to use scratch paper.
A Spanish language version of the test is currently available.
Multiple choice items have four answer options.
Test-takers will be given a small dry-erase board with Expo markers.
There will be an operational release of the Spanish version of the test sometime in 2014.

GED® tests are scored by computer- Multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, and
technology-enhanced items are scored immediately within the test-driver
- Constructed response items (short answer and extended response items) are scored by an Automated Intelligence scoring engine, trained to replicate human scoring, returning official responses within 3 hours of test completion
HOW GED® TESTS ARE SCORED

TEST POLICIES Tests can be taken on separate dates in any
order Tests can be paid for individually If they fail one module, they do not need to
retake the whole battery of tests, ONLY the module they failed
Can only be taken 3 times yearly but this may change
