Terry began mediating, in the 1990s and became certified in 1999. His mediation practice grew to the

point where he decided to mediate and arbitrate on a full time basis. In February 2009, he established

Porter Mediations, P.L., a practice dedicated solely to providing mediation and arbitration services.

When Terry began mediating his practice was primarily focused in personal injury and construction

dispute. However, over the years his practice has broadened significantly and he now successfully

Arbitration Experience

In addition to mediating, Terry often serves as an arbitrator. He is state qualified and has been

appointed as a non-binding arbitrator by the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court on dozens of occasions

over the past number of years. He also serves as a binding arbitrator. As an arbitrator Terry has

presided over a wide variety of matters, including the types of cases listed above. He has rendered

simple awards, as well as reasoned decisions including detailed findings of fact and conclusions law.
