Happy Holidays, Tis the season. Just a busy time preparing for the Holidays. I hope everybody is ready. I’d like to thank Jesse Derringer for hosting our first ‘annual’ Thanksgiving Eve Music Jam and for getting all the mem-bers of different bands to participate. Jesse, Tom Gibbs, members of the Southern Comforn Band and John Brown, just to name a few. They were great! What a wonderful way to start the long holiday weekend. Thanks again Jesse. I’d also like to say thanks to all who attended our “Early Bird Dinner”. Record turnout, great good and good times. What a special night when we had Mr. Don Fida, WWII Veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor, tell his story on Pearl Harbor Day. A special moment. Our Rocking New Years Eve Party is December 31st 7:30 PM to 1 AM. Entertainment by Ruby Shooz. Advance Sale Tickets only - available at the Bar. Price is $50 per person / $85 per couple. Hope to see you there. Time to sign off, preparing for a trip to North Carolina for my Son’s hip replacement, but I’d like to wish our entire Legion Family the Happi-est of Holidays. Our membership is going well for the year, but we still have nu-merous members who have not renewed. Please pay as soon as possible. Contributions so far this month were made to the ARISE of CNY. Don’t forget that the Post is looking for local charities that need donations. Remember – if you get a renewal notice from National and you already have your 2015 card, disregard the notice from National. Greetings fellow Legion members, Well we have come to the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015. The Riders had a great 2014, and were able to help many people with our contributions, including our latest of $1000.00 for Feed Our Vets. We again have donated over 200 food items to the Legion Community Services Commit-tee to help families in need for Christmas. As we enter 2015 we can only hope for a bigger and better New Year. We will be staging a scrap drive with Feed Our Vets in the spring, so hang onto those items if you can. I thank all of our members for their hard work in 2014, and I look forward to having a great 2015. Happy New Year to all my Brothers and Sisters at the Legion! Remember, freedom is not free.
