Domino’s Innovations:

• Domino's HeatWave® Hot Bag Domino's HeatWave®; hot bags were introduced in 1998. Each hot bag contains a patented heating mechanism warmed via electro-magnetic energy. This technology keeps the pizza oven-hot during a normal delivery. The outer material of the bag is made with water-repellent nylon rather than the vinyl material previously used. Inside the bag is 3M Thinsulate insulation, which eliminates unwanted moisture, keeping the pizzas both hot and crisp.

• A better box Domino's was the innovator behind the sturdy, corrugated pizza box, which keeps moisture from weakening the box, while preventing cheese from sticking to the top during delivery.

• Car-top sign - in 3-D! Today, it's hard to miss pizza delivery cars -- thanks to Domino's Pizza. Domino's invented the 3-D car-top sign, which is currently used by a variety of industries, including taxis and driving schools.

• Spoodle This saucing tool combines the best features of a spoon and a ladle, cutting down the time spent saucing a pizza. The spoodle was introduced at the 1985 World's Fastest Pizza Maker competition by the winner, Jeff Goddard.

Domino's Pizza Named One of the Top 50 Franchises for Minorities

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Domino's Pizza (NYSE: DPZ), the recognized world leader in pizza delivery, was recently selected as one of the top 50 outstanding franchisers for minorities by the National Minority Franchising Initiative (NMFI) for demonstrating an exceptional focus on recruiting and supporting minority franchisees.

Earlier this year, Domino's unveiled its "Delivering the Dream" program designed to help turn current minority Domino's team members into independent business owners by offering financial support to build new stores. When the initial announcement was made, Domino's had already helped minority franchisees open three stores. Today, Domino's has supported the construction of three additional stores in Socorro, Texas; Waverly, Ga.; and

Gould, Fla., through the "Delivering the Dream" program.

"We recognize the importance of having diverse franchisees that mirror the world in which we live," said Mike Mettler, Domino's director of franchise recruiting and sales. "The 'Delivering the Dream' program helps to eliminate the financial roadblocks that may exist for motivated future minority franchisees to get their businesses off the ground. Our program is unique in the industry in terms of providing commitment and support to entrepreneurs who need assistance in meeting the initial financial hurdle involved in owning a business."

In addition to the "Delivering the Dream" program, Domino's is an active participant in the International Franchise Association's MinorityFran Program, Minorities in Franchising Committee and the IFA's Educational Foundation's Diversity Institute.

Selection for the NMFI's top 50 was based on many factors, including historical performance, brand identification, market dynamics, franchisee satisfaction, the level of initial training, on-going support and financial stability. More importantly, selection was also based on the results of a detailed questionnaire that focused on the minority make-up of the existing franchisee base and at the senior management level within the franchiser itself, and current incentive programs offered to minority franchisees.

Mettler continued, "Domino's is very proud to be honored by the NMFI for our work toward recruiting and retaining minority franchisees. Some of our original 'Delivering the Dream' candidates have experienced tremendous success with 5-star quality and customer service scores and impressive average weekly unit sales. We are dedicated to delivering those same types of opportunities to new minority candidates well into the future."

Domino's Takes Ordering to the Internet

Online ordering now available

ANN ARBOR, Mich., July 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- For decades Domino's Pizza (NYSE: DPZ) customers have had only two ways to place their order - in-person or over the telephone - until today. Domino's is now offering

Page 7: General description of companymy.thunderbird.edu/files/content/154656/Dominos.pdf · Dominos has more than 8000 stores worldwide and is in 55 markets. (dominos.com) ... the level

online ordering in the majority of its U.S. stores as a third order method.

With the emergence of online ordering capability, pizza may soon join a growing list of "hot" commodities available online. According to a March 2007 survey by comScore Networks, Inc., the top retail e-commerce sales in the U.S. by select categories in 2006 were:

1. Video games, consoles and accessories

2. Consumer electronics

3. Sports and fitness

4. Jewelry and watches

5. Apparel and accessories

6. Event tickets

7. Computer software (excluding PC games)

8. Toys and hobbies

Will pizza make the list in 2008? Domino's Pizza predicts, "Most likely."

Visitors to Domino's homepage at www.dominos.com will see a fresh, new look to the Web site where online ordering now takes center-stage. Online customers can enjoy the following convenient features (available in most stores):

* Place an order in English or Spanish

* Place orders in advance

* Save favorite orders to make ordering faster for return purchases

* See the full menu while deciding what to order

* Take advantage of exclusive online ordering coupons and specials

"Ordering pizza on the Internet is a relatively new trend," said Rob Weisberg, Domino's vice president of precision and print marketing. "While the majority of our customers still prefer to place their order over the phone, we predict that by 2010, 50 percent of all orders will be placed through digital channels."

Weisberg continued, "We are evolving our Web site and our ordering process to cater to our young, hip customers who live on the Internet, love Domino's Pizza and need quick and easy ordering because their lifestyle demands it," said Weisberg. "So far, our customers have given Domino's online ordering platform top billing for customer satisfaction. We think we're off to a great start."

In addition to providing online ordering capability, the revamped www.dominos.com features colorful, new graphics; easy site navigation; and bright menu pages all done with a sense of humor befitting the fun Domino's Pizza brand. When visitors arrive on the homepage, they are greeted by a series of comical pictures describing the reasons why you should order your pizza online -- like if you dropped your phone in a fish bowl.

Available now nationwide, customers can get a medium Philly Cheese Steak Pizza or a large one-topping Brooklyn Style Pizza for just $9.99. Customers may also add a medium one-topping pizza to either order for just $5 more. This offer is available for a limited time only.
