gLive Internet Training

The Live Internet Training sessions are approximately 90 minutes long and take place through “WebEx.” The sessions are similar to classroom training and are offered to our GE authorized servicers. The following pages contain instructions on how to gain access to WebEx, along with the current schedule.

GE will again be holding the Live Internet Training each month in 2008, (offered multiple times each month) covering approximately 12 different products and will discuss product operation, any new features, diagnostic methods, tips and component disassembly instructions.

The schedule reflects a new product each month, as well as the dates and times for the sessions. All times are listed as Eastern, so you will have to adjust for your local time zone (i.e. 11 a.m. EST would be 10 a.m. Central, 9 a.m. Mountain, and 8 a.m. Pacific). You will need to log on to view the schedule and pick the best date/time for the training you would like to attend.

gNew Procedure for the Training Schedule

The GE Appliance Training Schedule will ONLY be available through our Technical Web site and KPI’s for May through December 2008 training. All Authorized GE Customer Care servicers have access to this web site. Get on the Internet and go to www.gecustomernet.com. Once there, log in and look for the “Service” tab in the upper left of your screen. Click on that to open the Technical Training site. From there, you can view any service guide, service bulletin or training videos. You can also check out new product training in the What’s New section. The Training Schedule will have it’s own page. You will need to pick out the date and time you want to attend and then click on the “Enroll” button for that session. See the next screens for examples.

If you can’t get into the “Service” tab, go to the upper right on the home page and click on “Contact Us.” This will open another window, and you can call the CustomerNet Help Desk at 1-800-242-1333, or send an e-mail request for access authority.

gLive Internet Training Instructions

Once your enrollment form has been received, you will receive an e-mail with the “WebEx” site information and password; the conference call phone number, as well as the pass code for the conference call. The e-mail should arrive about two weeks prior to your session. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, please resend your enrollment form.

Approximately 5 to 10 minutes before the Live Internet Training is scheduled to begin, open the e-mail with the “WebEx” link and click on it. That will take you directly to the session; you will be asked for your name, e-mail address and a password. Then, you will also need to call into the Conference Call Center and use the passcode, so that you will be able to hear the presentation and/or ask questions.

The sessions last approximately 90 minutes. Please check the web site often for any changes or updates!!!
