It also hosts regional and international strategic partners, namely the South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) Research and Training Centre, the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB), the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), and The World Bank Group (WBG). The Asia School of Business (ASB) is temporarily located here pending the completion of its campus. Two complementary public services related to informal learning are provided to visitors: Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery (opens from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm). a) About Sasana Kijang

Sasana Kijang is BNM’s modern complex for learning, research and engaging in discourse, complete with full conference facilities. It also hosts regional and international strategic partners, namely the South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) Research and Training Centre, the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB), the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), and The World Bank Group (WBG). The Asia School of Business (ASB) is temporarily located here pending the completion of its campus.

Two complementary public services related to informal learning are provided to visitors:

b) Security screening & registration

The security screening in Sasana Kijang will take place in 2 areas:

For self-driven vehicles, security checks will be conducted at the entrance of the basement parking. Please be ready to open the boot/trunk of your vehicle for inspection.

Upon arrival at Sasana Kijang lobby, you are required to undergo a thorough security screening before heading to the Forum. Please make sure that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the event starts to ensure sufficient time is buffered for the screening.

After the screening, BNM staff will usher you to the lift and event venue. You are required to register with BNM staff outside the event venue, before proceeding into the event venue.

c) Other Matters

General

Sasana Kijang is a WiFi-enabled area. The username is Sasana Kijang. No password is needed.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed in Sasana Kijang except at the designated areas which are near the

security post/entry point at LG4 and KMC Terrace area.

Access to Sasana Kijang

Delegates are only allowed to visit the following areas:

Facilities assigned for the event

BNM Museum and Art Gallery, Ground Floor

Knowledge Management Centre (all floors)

Museum Café, Ground Floor

Sasana Kijang Café, Ground Floor

Delegates are not allowed to visit Level 5 and the office areas at various levels.

Fire Escape Route

In case of emergency, delegates are required to gather outside the Main Entrance of Sasana

Kijang.

Prayer Room (Musolla)

Prayer room is available at the lobby area located at Ground Floor. Prayer mats, attire, slippers

and ablution wash area are provided in the prayer room.

2. Accommodation and Hotel Facilities (NOTE : Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation) There is wide choice of hotels in Kuala Lumpur that can meet the needs of international visitors. 3. Travel arrangements

a. Airport Transfer

Please arrange for own airport transfer to get to the accommodation. There are two main travel

options for you to choose from:

b) Upon arrival at KL Sentral, take taxi from KL Sentral

to Lanai Kijang (cost: ~RM15/USD4 one way)

Taxi coupons can be purchased at KL Sentral, near the ERL exit.

Travel time: approx. 10 minutes (depending on traffic) + waiting

time 15 minutes).

OPTION 2: Taxi

Total cost: at least RM100 (USD25) (one way)

Take taxi from Airport (KLIA/KLIA2) directly to Lanai Kijang

Taxis (premier and budget), airport limousines and vans are

available from the various counters at Level 1 & 3 of KLIA and

Level 1 of KLIA2.

Estimated travel duration: Approximately 70 minutes (depending

on traffic)

Rates are applicable during normal hours and the taxi prices are

subjected to extra 50% fare surcharge from 11.30pm to 6:00am.

b. From Lanai Kijang to Forum Venue (Sasana Kijang) BNM will provide daily transportation from Lanai Kijang to Sasana Kijang and vice versa. We advise for you to be at Lanai Kijang lobby at 8:15 a.m. to ensure that the transportation depart to Sasana Kijang at 8:25 a.m., in time for the Forum.

4. Other information Local time: Kuala Lumpur is 8 hours ahead of the Greenwich Mean Time. Weather: In the month of July, the average weather temperature in Kuala Lumpur ranges from 23 – 32°C. July is the third wettest month of the whole year. Power supply: The power supply voltage in Malaysia is about 220-240 volts. The electricity outlets commonly accept the standard 3-pin plugs and sockets. A plug adapter is required for different plugs.

Foreign exchange/credit card: The Malaysian currency is known as Malaysian Ringgit, and the current exchange rate is around MYR4.4 per US Dollar. Foreign currency can be exchanged at the banks and money changers around the country. All major credit cards are widely accepted in the country.
