Chapter 2 Something must be knownSwitch order: Turn on: computer first, then screen.

Turn off: screen first, then computer. (If turn off computer first but not screen, the

screen will be in the high bright spot, and the LED will be damaged, the result

could be serious).

The interval should be over five minutes when switch screen.

Turn on the screen only after the computer accessing control software.

Avoid turning on the screen when it is in uncontrolled state, because at th is time

the impact current of the system is the largest.

A: The computer accessing control software, and other procedures.

B: Computer without electricity.

C: The power supply of the control system is not turned on.

If the switch of the screen often closed itself, timely check the screen or change

the power switch.

Take good care of LED display products gently to avoid damage.

Consider whether the position linked can bear the weight of all products before

installation, avoiding danger.Take care of electricity when install the product. Connect all plugs first, make

sure no short-circuit testing by multimeter, and then connect with AC220V.

Do not disconnect the plugs when power on if some tiles of the screen doesnt

work. Disconnect the switch of the failure tiles first, then replace the failure

tiles with the good. Turn on after all power cables and signal cables connected.

Anyone who do not fo llow this step will take responsibi li ty for wrong operat ion.

The neutral wire and live wire of computer, control system, power cables could

not be reversed. If there are peripherals, test the cabinet to confirm charge after

connection.

Before connect electricity, check the cables, whether there is loose on the

control board when move computers and other control equipment.

If found shirt circuit, tripping, cable burning, smoke and other unusual happened,

do not be repeated testing, and find out the reasons. Lit up LED display after the

problem solved.

Before install strip curtain, the computer should be configured independent

Graphic card, and then set up the Graphic card model as "clone".

3.5 LED display power cable and signal cable: for the display power

4.2 Steps to screen installation

Steps 1: install the hanging string over the screen (refer the figure)

and it should bear all the weight of the screen.

Step 2: when install the first tile, insert the locking bolt to the two ends

of the strip curtain, and lock it with the buckle. (refer the figure)

Step 3: When install the second tile, remove one locking bolt on the

end of the strip curtain first, then install the second tile to the same

locking bolt and lock it (and so on).

Step 4: connect the head and end of the row after all the tiles installed.

(Note: for B3720DC, one power cable for one row tiles with up to 10

tiles; for B1860 and the 1830 DC maximum of 6 tiles per power cable.

Signal cable should connect the end of the first row to head of the

second row, like Z)

Step 5: first, connect all the power cables of the screen, then connect

the general electrical source; third, connect the general signal cable

to the controller (Note: first turn on the computer until it runs normally,

then turn on the power of LED screen).

Step 6: Send connection file (*. con).

Step 7: After finishing video playing, turn off the screen first, then turn

off the computer until the screen completely off, avoiding LED damage.

4.4 Steps to strip curtain connection

Insert DVI Graphic card to the AGP slot on the mainboard, and

install the card driver;

connect the power cables of computer and controller;

Connect Graphic card and controller with DVI cable;

Connect the serial port of controller and computer with RS-232

cable (optional);

Connect sending card and receiving card with LAN cable (the

number of cables in accordance with the packing list);

Make sure the connections well, then begin setup or debugging of

the screen.

making or playing programs, supporting a range of formats, such as txt

MPEG, MPV, MPA, AVI, VCD, SWF, RM, RA, RMJ, ASF)

5.2 Driver installation

Put the "LED Studio" installation CD into the CD-ROM, then it will

enter installation state automaticly, just follow the hint to operate.

First, install DirectX series program files, then install Graphic card

driver; (specific operation please refer "Graphic card setup" as

below).

Play software.

Install special software LED studio for big screen, or other controlsoftware.

Insert LED studio to CD-ROM, copy or install all the program files to

computer.

5.3 Graphic card setup

Take GeForce 8600 GT as an example for Graphic card setup.

Step 1: Right-click the blank of the desktop, there will pop up drop-down menu, and choose "PROPERTIES" to open the display properties

dialog box. (Figure 1)

Step 2: Click "SETUP" item, you can adjust resolution, refresh rate and

color setup of the computer. (Figure 2)

Step 3: Click the "ADVANCED" option in the "setup", there will pop up

plug-and-play Monitor and graphic card setup (Figure 3)

Step 4: Click "The GeForce 8600 GT" to enter the graphic card setup

(Figure 4).

monitor, the monitor can not show, just press the

Step 5: Click the drop-down button near "nVIew" , select "CLONE"

mode in the drop-down menu, and click OK to complete graphic card

setup. (Figure 5)

If two or more display device

were connected, there will

appear [nView Display Mode]

If one of them can not be

identified after two or more

display device were connected,

you can choose [De tec t

Displays] to nd the problem.

Select [Clone] in [nView] options,

there will be two menu in the [Main

Step 1: Double-cl ick the icon of "LED Studio8" and it wil l pop-up

company, and then enter the serial number "888888" Click Next will

enter registered users information window.

Click "BROWSE" to choose the path for reserve, click Next to enter

"installation option" after the completion of setup, click "NEXT" to

complete software installation.

Step 1: click "SOFTWARE SETUP" in the "OPTION" menu (Figure 1)

Step 2: Input "LINSN" password directly in the pop-up "SOFTWARE SETUP"

window. (password window has been hidden, direct input password, "password

input window" will pop up) will pop up window to input password, then input

"168 " to parameter window for hardware setup.

Step 3: Click "RECEIVER" to choose " LOADING FROM THE FILE", find

GLUX le in the pop-up dialog box (*.rcg le as the product type), click "SEND

TO RECEIVER", then click "

SAVE TO RECEIVER". (Note: none but send to

receiver rst, and save to receiver can be clicked, and then save to receiver)

Step 4: Click "DISPLAY CONNECTION" to set large LED screen connection.

According to the screen size, set QTY for level card and vert ical card.

According to the pixels of different screens set its width and height. The

connection method of the screen should be consistent with the general

signal cable of the spot installation.Once setup is complete, click "SEND TO

RECEIVER" to send the parameters to receiver. Finally, click "SAVE TO

RECEIVER" to complete software setup. (Note: The connection method should

be the same with the facade of the spot installation, or it wont be formed a big

screen.)

Chapter 6 Strip Curtain operation

Step 1: Double-click Ledstudio8 in the desktop. LED studio will be opened.

(Figure 1, 2)

Step 2: Click "SOFTWARE SETUP" in the "Option" menu, and the software

Setup dialog box will be opened. (Figure 3)

quantity, size and location of screen. You can change the quantity "1" from

2 to 99, click update screen" button, then there will be 2 to 99 LED large

screens on the desktop. When finish all parameter setup, click "SAVE

SETUP". (Note: If you choose "LOCK TO LARGE LED SCREEN", then you

can not change the location and size of large LED screen) (Figure 5)

Step 4: Click "ALLOW TO EDIT" and LED studio window can be opened.

Chapter 7 Daily maintenanceReplace LED strip: remove the nut of the upper and lower beams with the

same specific nut wrench then replace the good strip and lock the nut.

(Note: Please take care of the pin which can not be bended when insert

the strip, avoiding short-circuit.)

Only half LED strip is bright: Because the power supply is bad. Remove

all the LED strip of the Strip Curtain and the the plugs at two ends of

beams, remove the signal hexagonal nut and power connector. Then

replace the power supply.The whole screen is dead: make sure the graphic card is "clone" mode.

Check the signal and power cables are working properly or not. If these

operations are normal, then re-load Glux RCG file to the scanning card

and the screen will be lit up.

One tile of the screen is dead, and the other which connect with it are

light: scanning card instable or failed. The swiftest way to solve the

problem of instable scanning card is to disconnect the power supply and

do reset, then the screen will be light. If need to maintain the instablecard, remove the the plugs at two ends of beam, remove the signal

hexagonal nut and power connector. Then replace the power supply.

If screen is light, but RGB color can not be superposable and doesnt

display pictures normally, re-load Glux RCG file to the scanning card.

Regular inspection the locking bolts, timely adjust the loosing, reinforce

the hanging pieces.

Control system can be not found every time you start LED studio, check

the connection of RS232 data cable between COM port and sending

card or LED studio version is not compatible with the sending card in the

controller or COM port is bad. Connect the data cable, update LED studio

version or replace a good computer.

The whole screen shaking or double ghost: check the signal cable

between the screen and controller, check DVI port of graphic card and

controller is loosing or not, graphic card or sending card is bad. Replace

signal or DVI cable, reinforce DVI port of graphic card and controller,

replace graphic card or sending card.

Chapter 8 Addenda

8.1 Way to make Signal cable

Step 1: use twisted pair

Step 2: Making paircable. The standard

for pair cable is EIA/

TIAT568B (Figure 2).

Ensure that: 1-2 is a pair cable; 3-6 is a pair cable; 4-5 is a pair

cable; 7-8 is a pair cable. Both ends of the cable are T568B standard.

According to Figure 2, the order for the cables is like th is: (1-white

orange, 2-orange, 3-white green, 4-blue, 5-white blue, 6-green, 7-white

brown, 8-brown). It is important to note that green cable must gobeyond the blue cable. It is often made mistake by putting white green

cable and green cable together, this will cause crosstalk and reduce

the transmission efficiency.

Step 3: After making pair cable, tidy the

cables and cut the bare twisted pair with

special pliers, only about 15 mm left,

and tidy the ends of the cables, lay the

cables as Figure 3, put each of cable of

the twisted pairs into the pinhold of RJ45

connector, white orange cable is for the

first pinhold, and the rest is analogic.

Step 4: Make sure all the twisted pair

has been placed correctly, connect RJ45

connector with pliers, finished RJ45

Step 5: Way to connect plug in another end: first, twist off the plugs

(Figure 5, Figure 6), then weld the cables in accordance with thenumbers on the plug and the color of the cables. Put hot sol to finish

making signal cable. (1-white orange, 2-orange, 3-white green 4-blue,

5-white blue, 6-green, 7-white brown, 8-brown, 9-empty)

Step 1: Open LED studio, click "NEW PAGE OF PROGRAM" button,

"ADD STEP" and "WHOLE PROGRAMME PAGE" can be opened, choose

"ADD UNIVERAL DISPLAY", then click "NEW PAGE PROGRAMME" and

choose "NORMAL PROGRAMME PAGE".

Step 2: Click "NEW PAGE OF PROGRAM" button, "FILE WINDOW" and

"TEXT WINDOW" and other program names will be opened. Choose

"FILE WINDOW" to open the setup in it. Starting point X: set as " 0",

Starting point Y: set as "0". The width and height set by customer.

Then click "INCREASE FILE", finding the video to play.

Step 1: double-click and open "LED studio". Click "NEW PAGE OF

PROGRAM" button, "ADD UNIVERAL DISPLAY" and "ADD STEP" will be

opened, choose "ADD UNIVERAL DISPLAY", then click "NEW PAGE OF

PROGRAM" and choose "ADD STEP".

Step 2: Cl ick "NEW PAGE OF PROGRAM" button, these windows

wil l be opened: "FILE WINDOW", "TEXT WINDOW", "SINGLE LINE

Step 3: input words to play in the "text", click the check box near

"TRANSPARENT". At the beginning point X and Y, change the width and

height of the static text play window. Set frame as "NO". Other effects

setup set by customer.

Step 4: Cl ick "NEW PAGE OF PROGRAM" but ton, choose "FILE

WINDOW" to do setup in "file" window at right. Adjust the size and

window frame, then click "INCREASE FILE" button, there will pop up the

path window for playing file, choose the picture or video to play, click

"OPEN".

Step 5: After finishing the setup in "file" window at right, click "PLAY

FROM CURRENT PROGRAM PAGE" button to cycle play pictures or

words on the video.

8.4 Play flowing subtitle on picture or video

Step 1: Double-click and open "LED studio". Click " NEW PAGE OF

PROGRAM" button, "ADD UNIVERAL DISPLAY" and "ADD STEP" will be

opened, choose "ADD UNIVERAL DISPLAY", then click "NEW PAGE OF

PROGRAM" and choose "ADD STEP".

Step 2: Cl ick "NEW PAGE OF PROGRAM" button, these windows

wil l be opened: "FILE WINDOW", "TEXT WINDOW", "SINGLE LINE

TEXT WINDOW" , "STATIC TEXT WINDOW" , "TABLE WINDOW" ,

Step 3: Input the file or words to be loaded to "EXTERNAL FILE" or

"TEXT", click the check box near "TRANSPARENT". At the beginning

point X and Y, change the width and height of the "SINGLE LINE TEXT

WINDOW". Choose special effect for subtile in "STUNTS",and choose

effect in the "EFFECT".

Step 4: Finishing all setup in single line text, click "NEW PAGE OF

PROGRAM" button, choose "FILE WINDOW" to do setup on the right

window. Adjust the size and position of the play window, then click

"INCREASE FILE" button, there will pop up the path window for playing

file, choose the picture or video to play, click "OPEN".

Step 5: After the adjustment of Setup at the right of " FILE" window,

click "PLAY FROM THE CURRENT PROGRAM PAGE" button to cycle

play pictures or video flowing subtitle.
