Improved FEMEX service between North Europe & Turkey CMA CGM is pleased to announce the extension of its port coverage and its competiveness in the Mediterranean, by improving its FEMEX service between North Europe and Turkey, adding the ports of Felixstowe, Valencia and Piraeus. CMA CGM will consolidate its own FEMEX service jointly with SEAGO and Hamburg Süd. This improvement increases the service offering for customers on the important link between North Europe and the Marmara Region in Turkey.

For CMA CGM, the new ports of Felixstowe, Valencia and Piraeus will be added to the former existing rotation. The current calls at Casablanca and Constanta are transferred on new dedicated short sea services. This means an improved transit time both on the south and north bound. The revised FEMEX rotation will be: Felixstowe – Rotterdam – Bremerhaven – Antwerp – Marsaxlokk – Piraeus– Gebze – Ambarli – Gemlik – Aliaga – Marsaxlokk – Valencia – Tangiers – Felixstowe. The new service will be operated by five 6,500 TEUs vessels: 2 by CMA CGM, 2 by SEAGO and 1 by Hamburg Süd. The first southbound phase for this new service will be performed by “CMA CGM Rabelais” which will reach Rotterdam on December 2. We remain at your service for any information you should need. CMA CGM debuts its new service EUROSAL XL there by offering the best service offer between the West Coast of South America and Northern Europe CMA CGM is pleased to announce the service offer EUROSAL XL, which directly connects the West Coast of South America and Northern Europe. The new EUROSAL XL is a result of the fusion of the Group’s services EUROSAL1 and EUROSAL2. It is the best offer on the market thanks to its vast coverage of ports on the West Coast of South America and the shortest transit times on the market to Northern Europe. As an example, Chile is connected with Rotterdam in only 25 days from Valparaiso. The new EUROSAL XL service will offer:

A new stop at Buenaventura in Colombia, which supports the export of bananas and pineapples to Northern Europe. From Buenaventura, customers will have access to a wide feedering net accessing Guayaquil in Ecuador and Paita in Peru with the shortest transit times on the market to Northern Europe.

A new stop at Puerto Angamos offering optimal solutions to export copper from Chile to Northern Europe.

A state of the art fleet: modern vessels with a capacity of 9,000 TEUs, capable of passing the enlarged Panama Canal opened in June 2016.

The first vessel will leave the port of Rotterdam on January 3, 2017. Hamad Port replacing Doha port Qatar Ports Management Company is confirming the opening of Hamad port in Qatar from the 1st December 2016, definitely replacing Doha port. Hamad port is located 40 km south of Doha, the capital of Qatar. Port code for the moment remains under QADOH: you will be informed on time if this has to be changed.

Emergency Port Congestion Surcharge – Import to Costa Rica For several weeks, lines have been facing hectic and unstable port situation in Moin (Costa Rica), due to civil works resulting in the immobilization and closure of one pier out of three for an indefinite period.
