Joshua didn’t walk around Jericho alone. Nehemiah didn’t build the wall alone.Today's Bible Passage: Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Moses didn’t lead the people by himself. Paul didn’t journey alone, and wedon’t have to either.
There is a generation of young people who are looking for companions to walkwith them in their journey of faith. It's easier to stay focused, stay disciplined andstay encouraged when there are tangible signs of support. Imagine what wecould do together for God.
Can you pray for or send a note of encouragement today to a student you know?

about yourself, your schedule, or what’s ahead of you this week or inyour future. We look to ensure that the day will be meaningful for us.
Yet, some of the most meaningful times of life will be when you are meaningfullyinvested in others. What if you intentionally invested in the life of one studentthis week? This month? What difference could you make in their agenda? Intheir future?#UMStudentDay2016 #TogetherWeDoMore #companion #mentoring

When King David was a kid, he didn’t look kingly, he didn’t act kingly, and hedidn’t run in kingly circles. Yet, God saw David as the king that would lead Hispeople.
Think about it, a shepherd boy was anointed as the next King of Israel! Thereare United Methodist students who are going to be world shapers, lifechangers and culture creators. What if you saw these students the way thatGod sees them?

DAY 3 Join investmentwith the Church
Today's Bible Passage: 1 Samuel 16:7
In a world that values material possessions, exhilarating experiences and lavishluxuries, King Solomon offers very different advice. Solomon wrote in Proverbs4:5, "Get wisdom; get insight: do not forget, nor turn away from the words ofmy mouth."
There are thousands of students right now who are pursuing a more excellentway. It is our role as a community to celebrate and encourage all who choose toturn toward His words.

Have you ever referred to students as the next generation? In today's society, they are not the next generation, they are the generation of now.
Together, we will do more, accomplish more, serve more and grow more!
When we empower, encourage and invest in the generation of students whoare the generation of today, we are making a lasting investment in tomorrow.

DAY 5 Together, we are theGeneration of Now
Today's Bible Passage: Numbers 27:22-23
Many people spend their entire lives accumulating wealth, titlesand possessions. And yet we still find ourselves feeling as if there is more to life than this.
We read in Proverbs 16:16, ”How much better to get wisdom than gold! To getunderstanding is to be chosen rather than silver.” Following God leads us tolive counter-culturally, and to care about the things He cares about. Students, are you paying attention? Imagine if we chased after God and the wisdom fromabove rather than our worldly desires.
Are there any "things" you are accumulating in life that just don’t measureup to His treasure?

DAY 6 Are you payingattention?

Today's Bible Passage: Proverbs 16:16
When you were a student, who did you admire?
Likely, it was someone who cared about you, spent extra time with you or paidattention to you. These are the people who helped shape you into the personyou are today.
Have you given any thought to whom you are shaping and impacting? It's notmonumental moments that make the biggest impact, it's often small, consistent, strategic acts of kindness and generosity that help shape the life of a student. As United Methodists, we can truly do more together spread across the world,as we unite in Christ no matter what age or generation we call our own!
