Why Upgrade?

• Genesis Touch updates are easy to install with the push of a buttonwhenever a monitor is not in use by a patient.

• Minor performance enhancements are worked into each Honeywell-tested Genesis Touch software release.

• New monitors after 2015 can take advantage of continuousimprovement in the latest Android Operating Systems.- A regular upgrade schedule ensures monitors are secure, with security

vulnerabilities closed with any approved-Android upgrades.

• Do you know what’s new in Genesis Touch v3.2?- Checking for a new update could allow you to utilize more features in

patient monitoring, if a monitor has never been updated.- Fuze video visit software is new and improved, easier to use.

Set up a Meeting• Set up a meeting for use with each patient being managed.

• Enter meeting details, but be careful ofentering personal information.

• It may be best to use numbers to matchwith each programmed Genesis Touch.You may use the agenda section to notemonitor information.

• Adjust meeting time after setup, note if acall back is needed to confirm time.

Link a Genesis Touch to a Meeting• From the Vitals Now / Home Screen select Settings.• Tap Advanced Settings, enter 4237, tap the forward arrow to

continue and select Video in the menu that appears.• Select Meeting identifier for one-touch video visit.• In Fuze desktop, find the meeting you have just created and select

it. Note the combination of 8 numbers in the Meeting URL shownbelow:

• Enter the slash and the 8 numbers that appear: /32030602• Tap OK to close.

Confirm Video Visit Settings• While you are in the Video menu:

- Make sure the Display Video Button option is checked, as shown.- Options to Automatically start camera, or Start video in full screen are no

longer needed. Updated Fuze software does this automatically.- The Enable custom caption option allows a care provider to assign a

label for the patient’s image during the video visit. By default, the tablet serial number appears. For HIPAA compliance, apply a general label.

Performing a Test Video Visit• From the Fuze desktop application, start your meeting:

• A “green screen” appears enabling you to prepare.• Select Join Meeting to continue when ready:

• Now with the patient tablet nearby, touch theVideo button on the home screen.

• Accept the license request that pops up bytapping OK.

• At the next window, select the large JoinMeeting button to begin.

• A series of messages will display as themonitor connects (do not select cancel):


Performing a Test Video Visit (Cont.)• When the meeting begins, tap the video icon on

the bottom left corner of the patient monitor:• Select the Front Camera option.• Verify you can see your face reflected in the small

window of the tablet screen, where the patientcamera is displayed:

Easy Patient Interaction• Once the meeting has been configured and tested, the monitor will

remember these settings.• Once the video visit begins, it may be helpful to tell the patient to

touch the big screen that shows the care provider. This hides thetoolbar on the bottom of the screen to gain more monitor space.

• Content sharing and screen sharing will show on the monitorautomatically. A patient no longer needs to touch anything.

• When ready to end a meeting, select Exit from Fuze desktop, andthen End meeting for all. The patient monitor will automaticallyreturn to the Vitals Now screen.

• A patient leave-behind is available for video visits. The PatientTelemonitoring Guide has also been updated. Visitwww.honeywelllifecare.com/genesistouchhelp.

Joining a New Meeting• The meeting identifier remains programmed in the Genesis Touch,

and will always default to this meeting when Fuze starts.• However, as needed, a care provider may have a patient join

another meeting. To do this:- At the Fuze Join Meeting screen, a patient should tap in the box with the

numbers displayed. This will pull up a keypad to enter new numbers. - Have the patient delete the old numbers, and enter all numbers after the

slash in your meeting URL, as shown in your Fuze desktop application: cbcd7fd4/32030602.

- Once entered, a patient may join your new meeting URL for this session.
