The Braintree Panther
Jim Sardonis, a renowned local sculptor, was
commissioned in 1991 to create a statue of a mother panther with her cubs which
would be situated on the green in front of the
Meetinghouse. The granite which was used came from an abandoned quarry in the
town of Braintree, VT. People are encouraged to sit
on it and to climb on it.
