SUMMARY
A soil geochemistry survey was carried out along some roads on
the southern part of the Crow 3 Claim during the latter part of
November, 1982. The claim is located 22 km northeast of the
Britannia Mine, British Columbia, abutting the north side of
Crawford Creek. Access to the property is gained by a two-wheel
drive vehicle along logging roads from Squamish. The terrain
consists of moderate slopes forested with moderately dense con-
iferous trees. The purpose of the survey was to locate probable
zones of gold or sulphide mineralization.
The area is underlain by metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks
of the Gambier formation of Jurassic Age, and quartz diorites
and related rocks of the Cretaceous Coast Range Intrusives.
The property is located in proximity to the Maggie Mines prop-
erty on which the presence of significant intersections of
gold, copper, lead, zinc and silver mineralization is known to
occur. The Crow Claims are also located near the Anaconda-
Britannia Mine property which produced copper, silver, zinc and
gold mineralization.
The soil samples were dug every 20 m along roads, subsequently
tested for 3 metals being copper, silver and gold, plotted, and
contoured.

CONCLUSIONS
1. The Moran property is underlain by rocks that may be
favourable to mineralization. In the area occurs the
Britannia Mines property as we11 as the Maggie Mines
property. A number of gossan areas and mineral showing
are known to occur on recently staked claims in the sur-
rounding area as well.
2. The soils revealed 3 copper anomalies (two with silver
values) and one gold anomaly.
3. The anomalies are small though stong indicating the caus-
ative source to be very close. They are also one dimen-
sional with the samples having been taken along the road
only.
The work was done principally for assessment credits but did
turn up interesting results. The anomalies should therefore be
further checked by geological mapping and further soil sampled
on a detailed grid. The recommendations as outlined in
Sookochoff's engineering report should be carried out, as well.

INTRODUCTION
This report discusses the survey procedure, compilation of data
and the interpretation of a soil geochemistry survey carried
along the roads on the southern part of the Crow 3 Claim during
the period of November 15th to 22nd, 1982.
The survey wase carried out by Trans-Arctic Explorations Ltd.
under the field supervision of Richard Simpson, mining explor-
ation technician, who has 18 years experience. A total of 229
soil samples were picked up.
The primary purpose of the soil sampling was to locate gold,
silver and copper mineralization directly.
The survey was done to meet assessment requirements for the
claims.
GEOTRONICS SURVEYS LTD.
PROPER= AND OWNERSHIP
The property consists of two 20-unit claims staked within the
Vancouver Mining ~ivision as shown on Figure 2 and as described
below:
Claim Name
Crow 1
Crow 3
NO. Units Record No. Expiry Date
Sept. 16, 1983
Sept. 16, 1983
The expiry date shown does not take into account the survey un-
der discussion as being accepted for assessment credits.
The claims are owned by Moran Resources Corp. of San Andrews,
Quebec.
LOCATION AND ACCESS
The claim area is approximately 50 km NNE of Vancouver and 22
km NE of the Britannia Mine north of the Mamquam River on
Crawford Creek.
The geographical coordinates are 49" 43' N latitude and 120"
53' W longitude.
It can be reached by travelling for 25 km along the Mamquam
River Road, immediately south of Squamish. Logging has been
carried out over areas of the property thus access is available
to portions of the claim group.
GEOTRONlCS SURVEYS LTD.
TOPOGRAPHY
The property is located at the south end of the pacific Ranges
which is a physiographic unit of the Coast Mountains. The ter-
rain is, in general, steep and mountainous with elevations
ranging from 760 m to 1,825 m. The claims are dissected by
major northwesterly and westerly drainage systems with general
relief from ranges to valleys being in the order to 1,000 m.
The area is forested and overburden covered with only scattered
outcrops generally exposed except for precipitous rock at high
elevation. Vegetation on the lower slopes consists of Douglas
fir, cedar and spruce.
HISTORY OF PREVIOUS WORK
The area of the Britannia district to the southwest of the
claim area has long been well known for production from the
Anaconda Mine. Production between 1905 and 1974 yielded 55
million tons of ore grading 1.1% copper, 0.65% zinc, 0.2 oz/ton
silver and 0.02 oz/ton gold.
Exploration work on the Maggie Mines property, in proximity to
the recently acquired land, between 1977 and 1981 included
trenching, geological mapping, diamond drilling, Geochemical
analysis on diamond drill core, soils and stream sediments,
Turam surveys performed by another company in 1970 and re-
interpreted, and magnetometer surveys.
On the Crow Claims no previous work has been done since the
property has been staked.
GEOLOGY AND MINERALIZATION
The following is quoted from L. Sookochoff's geological
GEOTRONICS SURVEYS LTD.
engineering report on the property.
"Within the general area of the Crawford Creek property, vari-
able phases of Cretaceous granodiorite and diorite intrusives
engulf pendants of sedimentary, volcanic and metamorphic rocks.
"The Britannia ore zones are hosted by a substantial shear zone
within a pendant. The pendant is comprised:
"of steeply dipping metamorphosed sediments and igneous rocks covering an area of eleven km long by three km wide. The deposits are in a shear zone up to 600 metres wide that occurs mainly in quartz sericite schist. It includes five large lenticular replacement deposits con- sisting of schist impregnated with and replaced by ore and localized by structures of the shear zone. They have been followed to 2,500 feet in depth."
"The Maggie Mines:
"exploration targets are volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits of copper, gold, silver, zinc and lead of the Britannia type.. . Rocks are a pendant of a tightly folded rhyolite and dacite clastics. Mineralization is present as submarginal grades of the above noted metals occuring on chalcopyrite, galena and sphalerite. Alteration is silicification and chloritization."
"On the adjacent Alco property, mineralization of chalcopyrite,
molybdenite, chalcocite and bornite is confined to intense
fractured zones within a granitized pendant and association
with a granodiorite. The zone appears to be bounded by a quartz
diorite. Alteration is of silicification chloritization, and
saussuritization.
"The Crawford Creek property as indicated by geological map
115A - Pitt Lake, is underlain by a quartz diorite phase which is predominantly hornblende bearing with hornblende more abun-
dant than biotite. A detailed analysis of this rock type is re-
lated on pages 86 - 87 of Memoir 335.

Anomalous threshold value 130 0.80 .013
All values are in ppm,
On each plan, the sub-anomalous values were isolated by dashed
lines and the anomalous values by solid lines.
DISCUSSION OF RESULTS
The writer has labelled four anomalies by the letters A to D
that are worthy of further discussion, A to C are principally
copper anomalies while D is a gold anomaly.
Anomaly A is 60 m long consisting of four very anomalous
values. Three of the values are above 220 ppm. A small silver
anomaly occurs along its edge. The anomaly indicates copper
sulphides with possibly silver values. The samples within this
anomaly were not tested for gold.
Anomalies B and C are only one value copper highs with B cor-
relating with a silver anomaly. These two anomalies may indic-
ate narros veins. These soil samples were not tested for gold
either.
Anomaly D consists of only one high gold value of 0.07 ppm. It

has no correlating silver or copper anomalous values.
All four anomalies contain high copper or gold values with
little or no buildup in the values on either side. This indic-
ates little dispersion of the copper ions or the native gold
indicating the causative source to be probably close by.
