2.0 ACCESS

ACCESS IS BY AIR FROM MARATHON, ONTARIO BY MEANS OF NORTHERN MOUNTAIN HELICOPTER SERVICE BASED AT MARATHON AIRPORT TO THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF GOODCHILD LAKE. TWELVE (12) MILES FLYING TIME, 20 MINUTES ROUND TRIP.

3.0 DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY

THE PROPERTY CONSISTS OF 15 CLAIM UNITS, IN l UNPATENTED CLAIM IN THE CIRRUS AND LORNA LAKE AREAS. THE CLAIM BLOCK 1210470 IS LOC ATED IMMEDIATELY NORTHWEST OF GOODCHILD LAKE.

4.0 GENERAL GEOLOGY

THE PROPERTY IN WITHIN THE SCHREffiER-HEMLO GREENSTONE BELT. ACCORDING TO ODM MAPPING, THE GENERAL AREA WITHIN WHICH THE GOODCHILD LAKE PROPERTY OCCURS IS UNDERLAIN BY A COMPLEX OF PRECAMBRIAN PLUTONIC, INTRUSIVES AND METAMORPHOSED VOLCANIC AND SEDIMENTARY ROCKS. A THIN TO MODERATELY THICK COVER OF UNCONSOLIDATED PLEISTONCENE TO RECENT DEPOSITS OF VARVED CLAYS SILTY SAND AND GRAVEL OVERLIES THE PRECAMBRIAN BEDROCK.

THE PRECAMBRIAN ROCKS ARE REPORTED BY GOVERNMENT GEOLOGISTS TO CONSIST OF METAMORPHOSED ARCHEAN, BASIC, INTERMEDIATE AND ACID VOLCANIC ROCKS, WITH MINOR SEDIMENTARY UNITS. THIS META MORPHOSED SERIES IS INTRUDED BY POST-TECTONIC ULTRAMAFIC AND GRANITE BODIES; COMPRISING SERPENTINIZED-DUNITE, DIABASE, GABBRO, ALKALIC SYENITE AND GABBROS. THE RELATIVE AGES OF THE VARIOUS INTRUSIVE ROCKS ARE NOT TOO WELL ESTABLISHED AND THE POSITION OF THE SERPENTINIZED-DUNITE IS NOT ACCURATELY KNOWN AT THIS STAGE. AGES OF THE GRANITE AND ALKALIC SYENITE BODIES HAVE BEEN DETER-

MINED BY STRONTIUM-RHUBIDIUM METHODS TO BE 2 300 MILLION AND l 225 MILLION YEARS RESPECTIVELY.

LOCAL GEOLOGY

AS MAPPED BY MILNE: BASIC TO INTERMEDIATE METAVOLCANIC AND METASEDIMENTARY ROCKS. POST-TECTRONIC GRANITIC ROCKS CONSISTS OF HORNBLENDE QUARTZ MONZOITE. OLDER? ULTRABASIC ENTRUSIVE ROCKS CONSISTS OF SERPENTINITE.

PROJECT SURVEY AREA: GEOLOGY

CONSISTS MAINLY OF MAFIC VOLCANICS WITH EXCEPTIONS ON THE SOUTH- WEST AND NORTHWEST AREAS OF THE CLAIM BLOCK WHERE QUARTZ MON ZONITE WAS NOTED ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE AND SERPENTINITE ON THE NORTHWEST SIDE. THESE TWO INTRUSIVES ARE ALSO SEPARATED BY MAFIC VOLCANICS ON THE EXTREME WEST SIDE OF THE CLAIM BLOCK.

5.0 WORK CONDUCTED

FROM SEP. 20/97 TO OCT 25/97, A WORK PROGRAM WAS CONDUCTED ON THE WESTERN PART OF THE CLAIM BLOCK 1210470. THIS INCLUDED SOIL SAMPLING AS COMPASS GRID LINES WERE ESTABLISHED BY FLAGGING. PROSPECTING WAS DONE IN THE FORM OF MAPPING, AND ROCK SAMPLING AND ASSAYING WERE ALSO CONDUCTED. A TOTAL OF SIXTEEN MAN DAYS OF FIELD WORK WAS PERFORMED.

SOIL SAMPLING

SOIL SAMPLING WAS CONDUCTED ON THE WESTERN PART OF CLAIM 1210470. A TOTAL OF 82 SOIL SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED AND ASSAYED FOR GOLD AND BASE METALS.

PROSPECTING, ROCK GRAB SAMPLING AND MAPPING

PROSPECTING AND ROCK SAMPLING INDICATED THAT CLAIM 1210470 CON SISTS MAINLY OF MAFIC VOLCANICS, HIGHLY ALTERED MAFICS ON THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF THE CLAIM BLOCK. THERE IS APPARENT SHEARING IN THE VICINITY OF L5E, L45 STRIKING 35 DEGREES NW INTERCEPTED BY A NORTH EASTERLY TRENDING LINEAMENT . A TOTAL OF 45 ROCK GRAB SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED AND ASSAYED FOR GOLD AND BASE METALS.

6.0 RESULTS

A GOLD SOIL ANOMLY, SOMEWHAT WEAK IS APPARENT ON THE NORTH-

WEST SIDE OF THE SURVEY AREA. ASSAYS RANGE FROM 5 - 30 PPB ABOVE BACKGROUND, NEVERTHELESS THIS ANOMLY APPEARS TO BE ON STRIKE WHERE ASSAY RESULTS INDICATED ROCK SAMPLES ASSAYING .3 GPT GOLD TO A HIGH OF 8.6 GPT GOLD, REFERRED TO NOW AS THE MAIN GOLD

SHOWING. ACCOMPANYING THIS GOLD SHOWING ALTERATION IS A FORM OF CARBONATES, CALCITE AND ANKERITE, SERCITE, FUSHJTE (GREEN MICA) CHLORITE AND FE CARB SHEARING WITH DEFORMED ALTERED MAFIC ROCK WAS TRACED FOR A LENGTH OF 150 METERS AS WELL A WIDTH OF 22 FT. LOCALLY AT GOLD SHOWING WHICH DISPLAYS 2 FT WIDTH SULPHIDE-RICH NON MAGNETIC SILICA LOOKING, CHERTY LOOKING,CARBONATE, SULPHIDES 5 -150/0 ALL PYRITE, QUARTZ FLOODED ASSAYED 8.6 GPT. CHEMEX LAB.

A SECOND GOLD SHOWING WAS LOCATED 300 M SOUTH OF THE MAIN GOLD SHOWING, REFERRED TO AS THE SOUTH SHOWING. SEDIMENT?/ VOLCANIC MEDIUM GRAIN t-2% PY, NON MAGNETIC, SLIGHTLY CHERTY, FOLDED QUARTZ VEINS, 2-3 FT WIDE.OVERBURDEN LOCALLY, THIS ASSAYED 1.44 GPT GOLD.

BASE METALS ZINC AND NICKEL 2170 PPM AND 2010 M RESPECTIVELY WERE INDICATED BY ROCK SAMPLING. SEE MAP LOCATIONS IN INCLOSED MAP AND INCLOSED ASSAY REPORT.

RECOMMENDATIONS

STRIPPING AND TRENCHING COULD BETTER EXPOSE SHOWINGS, AS WELL AS MORE DETAILED PROSPECTING COULD REVEAL MORE GOLD SHOWINGS IN LOCAL DISCOVERY AREAS. SOIL SAMPLING AND PROSPECTING IN THE EASTERN HALF OF THE CLAIM BLOCK IS ALSO RECOMMENDED.
